When will the ECM mean be out?

I'm claiming a pound for no other reason other than I need lots of money! Next up is the GFS 6Z let's hope it produces something similar to last night's 18z and we'll all be smiling again.

Especially the ECM runs lately, UKMO and some GFS still going for deep cold.. eventually..

slightly less great than the nirvana runs of last night's 18z GFS, but let's wait to see what the GFS has to say today!

GFS pub run last night was exceptional, GFS 00z less so. UKMO was very good, ECM less so. Some people putting all their hopes and dreams on every single run unfortunately and the emotional ups and downs are very unhealthy here's to hoping that all models agree so sustained deep cold ASAP before we all lose our sanity!

I think everyone (including me) just wants a sustained period of cold with no intrusion from any milder conditions. And I honestly think we're going to get there. Folk seem so up and down with their emotions though. I know everyone is disheartened by the lack of easterly/deep cold this week, but we had AMAZING runs yesterday, and now this morning we've had one bad run and some people just seems to go into breakdown mode and write the winter off.. It's been frustrating for all of us, I can totally understand why people are disheartened at this point, but I think the models are certainly on the up especially from where we were over the weekend.

May be completely wrong, but is that hints at an Easterly/Northeastetly?

Oh no! My auntie slipped on ice last March and she has brittle bones so that was a nasty few breaks! You'd think I'd have more sympathy and wish for milder weather, but no.. Snow all the way for me!! UKMO does look good, even my extremely untrained eye thought "all these blue colours must be good"! ECM up next !!

Unfortunately no.. It was a rain/sleet mix predominately with the odd wet flake here and there.. I saw someone a few pages back say the south east could get snow today according to a model but I'm yet to have that confirmed. Maybe I was seeing things. Definately hoping for more throughout the next few days, then a deep cold spell lasting until April would be nice!

In that case it looks OK to me. Going to need some verification on that however lol
