    Nothing in the perpetual snow shield of coastal Dorset... My boyfriend's had snow a few weeks ago... In southern Italy.

    Dry and frozen in Poole... No snow.... no surprise. Dog safely tucked up under the electric blanket (only on very low) while I practice sections from Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor...

    Hi all, I've been lurking on here for the past several days seeking sanctuary from the heat lovers in the other forums. This heat is insane and having just spent over a month in far southern Italy or as I now refer to it 'l'inferno' ... I'm so over it... Please merciful and majestic weather gods bring us some much needed relief. If only for the wildlife and Heathlands.

    I've noticed this too. Didn't get much this time but last beast from the east we had loads down here in Poole. Always seems to take so much to get any down here though, which is a bit annoying

    Just been up on the Heath here in Poole Dorset for one last walk in the snow. Rapid thaw even at the top. Few flakes still blowing around.
