  1. the met office's website reckons thunderstorms 14:00 15:00 here, definitely wasn't there earlier but im not sure their website tends to be accurate when claiming storms, bbc weather is definitely worse in that regard though.
  2. are these storms different to the ones arome had due to start developing 8ish and peaking at 9? i dont think they are the same but im not too sure.
  3. arome 12z looks okish for me, 00z wouldve been much much better or the 06z as they were both closer and in thunder range, im just assuming i should at least see something from here. hope the storms play ball and ideally go a lil bit more south.
  4. friendship ended with arome 12z, now euro4 is my best friend (tho i might be reading the chart wrong)
  5. 23c recorded at brize norton which is a bit higher than forecast but dew point is 7c tho it does feel like its getting more humid to me so hoping for the best.
  6. is it just me or does this forecasted shower look like a Chilli pepper
  7. tony from ukww has updated his forecast with this: "UPDATE 1pm Sat As per earlier forecast with following comments; There is a slight risk of tornadoes for Dorset through to S Wales 14z-23z. A secondary surface low is forecast to now develop just east of the primary Closed low core. This circulation looks to increase surface moisture advection toward the NW. In fact models predict almost 100% humidity values SW. Moderate DLS with fairly acute directional LLS in place. A dewpoint depression potentially lowers LCL to just 1,000 ft. This will be optimum for vorticity to be ingested into any updraft. Any CIN over Wales looks to rapidly weaken leaving a non capped environment. Any storm developing in the said location should exhibit low level rotation with the chance of a tornado or two. Based on the WRF forecast accents can't rule out a weak supercell developing!"
  8. arome 06z looks decent and more similar to the 00z to me, would prefer it to be abit more southish like the earlier run but i might see some flashes atleast if its accurate.
  9. UK weather warnings WWW.METOFFICE.GOV.UK Met Office UK weather warnings for rain, snow, wind, fog and ice. Choose your location to keep up to date with local weather warnings. well the met office is expecting something
  10. lovely skies out though not as clear as i'd have hoped with some cumulus and cirrus about. I think my best bet today will be what i assume would be elevated storms around 7-8pm ish, the arome 00z looked quite promising but the 03z is def a bit of a downgrade it seems but still has something going close to me, couple other models also showed a bit of promise so i don't think my odds are too terrible but not great either.
  11. I would certainly settle for that, looks like it would be pretty close to me though not sure exactly.
  12. I reckon it landfalls somewhere inbetween Redcar and Scarborough
  13. if it could just move a smige more south i think i'd be happy with that.
  14. Convective Weather CONVECTIVEWEATHER.CO.UK Forecasting thunderstorms and severe convective weather across the British Isles and Ireland for up to the next 5 days. Ok now this isn't epic
  15. yeah definitely something up with that, thats a loooooot of false strikes.
  16. bout 75 miles or so south would be very nice, ah well ill see some flashes hopefully.
