Did a time lapse of a shower passing by and noticed something lower than the the rest of the base, any ideas or is it just part of the main cloud ? I'd presume it's too weak to be a shelf cloud or anything similar but the camera angle makes it harder to make it out. VID_20200523_145537.mp4 -

i can strongly relate to the annoyance of thinking towers are going up before they decide "lol no" and dissipate, i always feel the need to timelapse anything looking like its starting to tower just incase i could get a cool timelapse, my neighbours must think I've lost the plot always looking out the windows. -

is this the trough thats been close to me for the last hour or so? whatever the feature is the cloudscapes are lovely and make for some great low quality phone photolapses lol, looks like a lot of cumulus is starting to build up from what i can tell so good luck to anyone downwind. -

I was intending on sleeping but seeing those storms come out of nowhere is enough for me to pull an all nighter just incase, if nothing else I'll be resetting my sleeping pattern haha. -

I'm not sure but I could've sworn I heard a few rumbles, closest storm seems to be Aylesbury so is it even possible to hear it from that far (30 miles or so) -

I think the cell to the north west of me has already died, all the strikes bar one seem to have been false strikes on lightning maps. And My phone battery died and I lost the time lapse but oh well. edit: seems to have a hail on radar but not electric aside from the single strike. -

i thought it was a false strike but nope, multiple more and its appeared on radar now. i better not get too hopeful or it will fizzle out fast. -

Towers to my east seems to be in a rough line, they don't seem to be going up too fast but definitely developing. -

Quite a lot of cloud building to my north, doubt it will amount to much however. -
wind has really just picked up here with the rain, lights flickered a few times and it feels much stronger than yesterday.
-
definitely going to be the strongest ive experienced in a very long time i think, getting quite loud at times now and occasionally a bin falls over, had a few gusts i could certainly feel. now to decide what time i should try to sleep to maximise the experience lol, im hoping for a good squall line tomorrow or today rather.

winds really picking up here in west oxfordshire in the last 20 minutes or so.
