  1. Almost ashamed to post such a terrible picture, but first time in my life seeing any kind of aurora
  2. 23.4C a little while ago and when the breeze isn't on you, the sun feels 'hot' on the skin! Not felt that since being in Arizona some 9 months ago!
  3. Models really struggling with this low at the start of next week. I like the UKMO version which brings up a modified plume and starts to pump some good uppers into the east, but ECM and GFS look more likely with a more typical solution of the low either filling on our shores or allowing a maritime flow in.
  4. Sprites not sure I get it, sorry! Did I make a reference unbeknownst?
  5. A subtle shift in the models for Sunday has brought in a deeper and faster low to the west or southwest of Ireland, shoving the potential plume event further to the east and earlier on Sunday than originally shown. Still some shuffling about to come on the models I suspect before it's resolved
  6. Yep, the high relinquishes its grip on Sunday and it's back to square one. I'll certainly be making the most of the rest of this week. Thankfully I get good WiFi on the patio so I can work out there when I've not got meetings! Being south facing, it gets pretty toasty in the sun
  7. Checking in again. A near-miss during last week's modified plume event.
  8. Of course the models show a plume event on Sunday night, the one night I'm away in London for a gig! Very predictable!
  9. What a day. Temperature already at 19.7C, highest so far this year and could make low 20s at this rate. Clear blue skies and the planes aren't even leaving trails to trigger the tin foil idiots.
  10. Flash bang flash bang etc Having been chasing twice in the Midwest/Arizona, technically I kind of have!
  11. Meanwhile I'm stuck in a band of endless drizzle. Can't buy a storm so far, just like in 2023!
  12. Salisbury plains coming to life on the radar; expect the lightning to start soon
