Gone dark to my West

Would you like to swap the heat for some snow? I have plenty left over from the tonnes i had last weekend. On a more somber note, God bless those firefighters. It happens every year in Australia, each year gets worse and worse. I'm lucky to live in one of the more stable countries in the world (geologically and meteorologically speaking). Australia is such a beautiful country with amazing people...planning a 3 week trip next year to Sydney, Melbourne and Ayers Rock! Can't wait!

Thanks for the info guys! I think I should be alright. Will find out when I get up there. Not a fan of driving in the snow, not really a fan of driving full stop but I have to earn my money somehow lol!

How has Leeks and Stoke faired, I've got appointments up there tomorrow, road conditions and snow depths anyone?

Sky has brightened a lot and there is some thawing. Althogh there is snow still falling from the sky. Massive iceicles!

Hi Staffordshire! I'm about 150m asl, I'm not great with measurements, erm I would say about 30cms of lying snow. Drifting snow in some areas of about 1ft. But that's just guessing. My car wheels have disappeard under the snow so that's kind of what I'm going off lol. Snowed a bit earlier adding a sugar dusting and now snowing again. Its very powdery snow and is easily blowing in the wind. Heard reports of cars being left along Lindon Road, due to the snow now freezing over.

Currently snowing again here in Brownhills. Small flakes but lots of em, wind picked up again. Remarkable event!

We have an awful lot of snow, atleast 6 inches if not more. Cars are getting stuck on supermarket car parks. Still snowing very lightly.

I do feel sorry for the people not getting snow...but don't forget it is March and snow is hard to forecast. On a brighter not here in Brownhills we've had tonnes, its been snowing since 3pm, and well its becoming dangerous. Walsall Council has stated not to drive after 7pm as they will not be gritting as much. I've seen a snow plow and helped push 3 cars out of some of the deeper areas. More snow than at any time during the winter. And its still going. Brownhills is quite high up compared to some parts of Walsall, which has helped.

Had a couple of inches in Brownhills overnight with a lull during the day and has been snowing since 3pm (ish). Mostly small flakes at the moment, all surfaces covered again on top of the snow from last night.

Just popped over to ask how South East is looking over the weekend? I'm driving down to Haslemere, Surrey for work then onwards down to Hastings, that's if I can get out of the West Midlands. Lol

Moderate snow in Brownhills WS8. Nearly died of shock as I wasn't expecting it. It doesn't seem cold enough outside.

Been in Leicester most of the day, in Syston and Wigston. Heavy snow showers throughout the day. Walsall so I'm told had a shower this morning. That's it.

Been snowing very lightly since 9pm. Sugar dusting on most surfaces, beginning to stick to pavements and roads

Been snowing for a good few hours here, couple of cms currently, small flakes but lots of them, going to make getting to work fun tomorrow as i haven't seen any gritters today at all.

Turned more snow like now, coming down heavy, clearly wet snow mind you.

Rain to sleet to rain here! I'm actually relieved! Life can return to normal. I'm looking forward to Spring now and the warmth it brings. I love snow, I love seeing it fall, but I don't like having to go to work in it!

Snowed throughout the day in Harborne, and all the way home to Brownhills on my drive home. Flakes in the air all evening

Snowing again here and considering it took me 3 hrs to get to wrk this morning, im not pleased.

If the office is closed again tomorrow, I may go out for a walk up Shire Oak Park or Cannock Chase. Haven't really been out for anything remotely interesting in it. Take a few pictures to remember it by when the BBQ summer rolls around (I'm kidding lol)

Flakes coming down in Brownhills again. I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of the snow just yet. Partly because part of me is gettin fed up of it lol.

Well work was cancelled. After i got there. Now home and its snowing. Why i dont know?
