I estimate worse to come and the 188 day cycle falls on Thursday
I guess that's another prediction blown out of the water. How will they explain that away?
-
Foggy again here.........................same as last night!
-
They look really good tonight along with Mars with a really clear sky here in Bristol. I didn't manage to see Mercury but last night did see Saturn close to the moon when it rose. I will check that out again tonight.

That has to be the most obvious picture of a seagull in flight that I have every seen!! Doesn't even qualify as a UFO as is is clearly an 'identified flying object'. That paper really does not care at all what it prints!!

If you take a look at the SOHO website, it wasn't a big comet and these graze the sun frequently. They look bright when they get that close as many of them disintregrate and the CME on the other side was most likely just a coincidence. Check out the report.

Yep, Finaly some Tthunder and Lightening in North Bristol!!!!
-
That's completely flawed!. Firstly, if you compare a set of people from the 'Australian Diabetes, Obesity and Lifestyle survey' to a group of people who do not watch TV at all, I think you are going to find that there are many other contribing factors to their shorter lifespan............
Secondly, I spend way more time sitting down in my job than I do watching TV. If that were the case, then I can expect to die pretty soon!!!!!
If people watch TV and also exercise properly in a balanced way, then the act of watching TV will not affect you at all.
Statistics................you can show anythign you want if you manipulate them enough!!

Absolutly tipping down in Bristol, roads flooding wouldn't be suprised to hear thunder.
Some sferics to the south west of us on the radar so we might get some rumbles
-
Sat out last night a watched for a few hours with the whole family and our neighbours over a few beers! Saw loads of really bright ones, some with tails stretching halfway accross the sky. It was the most impressive showing I've seen to date. Apart from a few short spells we had almost totally clear skys.

One or two showers passing through this way, but generally fairly un-eventful day.
We just had a hail shower 30 minutes ago in North Bristol. It will be interesting to see what comes up now.
-
Had a brief snow shower here but according to the radar something should be falling now but we are getting nothing. Can't see this coming to anything at all even up north unless it intensifies a lot!!
-
Snowing quite heavily here in North Bristol. Settling now on cars and on the grass. I love these surprises!
-
Snowed quite a bit here in North Bristol a short while ago. It settled on cars and grass for a while. Also looks like some more coming along on the radar.
-
Getting snow flurries here in North Bristol. If it is snow when it is only light precipitation then anything heavy will definately be snow so it will be intersting to see if this precip to the east coming across the region comes to anything. Can't see it settling though as the temp is still a bit hight for that unless it snows very heavily.
-
Just had a very heavy snow shower here in North Bristol. Temp was 6 degrees in the car when it started and dropped to 2 degrees in 10 minutes. Pretty impressive shower it was, too!
-
Starting to get heavier again here in Winterbourne. Had a covering on the car and the grass but nothing on pavements and roads yet. The way it is snowing now though is going to start settling on other surfaces.
I love the way the precip is shown as rain here!! Sadly, looking at the radar there is a big hole in the precipitation coming towards Bristol now.
Wow, really big flakes now!! Shame it can't last.
-
Snowing here in Winterbourne, Bristol. I have to give credit to the Meto, I didn't think this would happen! Snow on 3 consecutive Wednesdays now!! Not pitched yet but if it snows heavy enough, who knows!!
-
I saw Richard Angwyn play the potential snow down big style in the Lunchtime weather. The guy on National weather was all excitable about it but said 'remember this is only a forcast and you never ever be certain about this'!!! When Richard came on afterwards he started off by saying 'don't expect me to be excited like ??? (not sure of the name), I don't do excitable'. Very amusing, it was.
He just said it was most likely to be rain in our region. We will see!

Nice pics of the Green and the cut through the chuchyard to Parkway. I used to live on North Road until we moved to Winterbourne last December. They never grit that road and it gets quite busy too. I've seen a few cars lose it approaching the green down that slight incline. One of my boy's still goes to St Michael's school so I was down there myself an hour afterwards!
-
Snowing quite heavily in Winterbourne again now. So it definately has not changed to rain here yet. The only thaw going on is on the roofs. All the snow on the trees has not yet gone. One of the best snowy periods in a very long time. Definately takes me back to the 80s!!
-
Little flurry coming for Bristol again I think!
It will be interesting to see if this is rain or snow then.
-
Still snowing here in Winterbourne although quite light now. I almost didn't get my car off the drive this morning as I stupidly left it facing down the hill. Reverse gear is no fun on snow!! Luckily my two boys helped push me up the incline. Now i've cleared the drive again!!! Looked to me like most of the snow fell in the last few hours of the early morning. I'm surprised it is still snowing and would be intersted to hear from people in the areas to the south that are showing as rain in Netweather radar as some of you are saying it is still snow!
-
If anyone's got access to decent radar, let us know what's happening - anymore heavy stuff coming up? No need to post image, in case you get into trouble!
I almost signed up to NW radar at end of Nov when the offer was on - wish i had now!
No, just took a look and there isn't any heavy snow in sight now but plenty of the stuff that is currently falling so can't complain really! Certainly got a couple of inches here soo it will be interesting to see what the morning brings.
-
From forecast though it seems to intensify in the night, while looking at the radar does not look like that... What do you think guys? I am talking for Bristol area...
I can see what you mean so I guess it must be other factors that will intensify what is already there. Otherwise it looks like just light snow from now onwards.

Why do people have to bicker about opinions? It does not matter in the slightest what opinions people have about the weather they would prefer to see. The weather will happen and not be influenced by opinions in the slightest!! Just get back to model reviews, which is what this thread is all about!
