That was weird - got off tube at Aldgate East to be met with a heavyish snow shower, but after walking approx 100 yards it suddenly stopped completely !

Finally - its starting to settle on pavements and roads after a heavy burst - only a slight sugar coating, but its a start.

Despite snowing pretty heavy, it will not settle on roads/pavements. In fact they seem to sdamp for any possibilityof the snow settling. Yet, the cars and roofs are very white now.

Been snowing here since approx 7pm (maybe sooner as thats when I first looked out of window. In last few minutes its started to settle in all sufaces after initially just covering car roofs - what a cock up !! (by the weather forecasters) Double checked and still not wants to settle on roads/pavements although small patches are startimng to form I think - shouldn't be much longer

Just had a 5 min snow/sleet shower - thats it now.

Wintry Mix here in City of London at moment - a mixture iterally of everything

Am near liverpool Street Station - just off Bishopsgate. Had a spell of heavy/moderate snow about half hour/forty mins ago but this has now reverted back to normal rain (perhaps a bit sleety at times) so maybe missed the boat unless it changes back again

Amazingly have seen bursts of snow here in City of London in last 10 mins - totally unexpected

Snowing more persistently now ,although wouldn't call it any more than light to light moderate yet - and not settling

Brief snow flurry here just now - meanwhilst the thaw has set in - can see more and more of my grass in the back garden - boo hoo

Heavy Snow just started in last 5 mins !!

Just had a 5 min shower - would class as 90% rain 10% WINTRYNESS (not snow or even sleet but perhaps some soft haol or pellets) - or is that wishful thinking from me ?

This is relentless - over 4 hours of falling snow - settled everywhere - not the same as last Mondays 'event' by any means, but considering this was unexpected, very nice to see. The question is.....how much more to come and will it melt by the morning ?

Still chucking it down here - the last few non covered parts of the pavement now starting to turn white too - how much longer will it last ?

Heavy persistent snow now starting to settle on the road and pavement in addition to the other surfaces - temp must have taken a sudden dip for this to happen so quickly - Wowwww

Snowing continuously here since sundown - started off as a sleety mix but from approx 5.45pm it was all snow. In last 15 mins started to settle on grass and cars, but not roads or pavements.

I agree with you - just popped out to collect a take away in moderate snow and came out of the place to heavy settling snow. Where r u in NE London ?

Well here in North East london. been snowing all day (and all night), and the last half hour has got particularly heavy to top up the 7 or 8 inches (or more) we have already had. Marvellous stuff - restoed my faityh in the Winter thats for sure.

Its been snowing since sundown here at varying rates from light to very heavy - currently very heavy. Must be a couple of inches at least so far and showing no sign of let up. I thought the Thames Streamer was a south of the river affair but that has certainly not been the case for my neck of the woods. God knows how much I'll wake up too if it continues like this all night - would be nice if the transport system ginds to a halt to give me a day off but I remeber that during all the other major snow events in last 22 years the Central Line works BETTER than usual !! So no excuses for me.

Light flurries for 10 mins or so getting more moderate now with clouds darkening. Nothing settling yet - not expecting that until later.
