  1. Been a grand day on the Yorkshire Wolds, similar to yesterday, sunny morning followed by cloud in the afternoon, 17°c and dry, no complaints.

  3. Simply a stunning morning on the Yorkshire Wolds, t-shirt weather from the off, just got my other car out from winter hibernation, see where we end up....
  4. StingJet it means don't discard your winter clothes 'cast a clout' until the Hawthorn hedge flowers, ('May'flower) Nothing to do with the month of May. Clout is old English for Cloth.
  5. Hopefully soon, we need some proper warmth to dry the ground up, agriculture is struggling and people will b1tch n moan when basic food like potatoes are ridiculously expensive?!
  6. 9°c this evening on the Yorkshire wolds, but after a grey morning we had a pleasant afternoon when then sun came out, knocking on 17°c for a while, managed an hour in pub beer garden at least it didn't f00kin rain.
  7. mike57 days improved as its warn on, quite a pleasant warm afternoon, the breeze is a pain but its eased a bit now.

Despite the vile weather we still had 65 tractors turn out yesterday morning for the charity road run, there was heck of alot of standing water on the country lane but we had a good day and raised some for money for Yorkshire air ambulance, A bit wet in the field at the start, Case international for me as usual, Wet outlook from the cab.
  11. mike57 local charity (Yorkshire air ambulance) tractor road run today, will be a poor turn out today because of this vile weather, glad i have a cab, got to make the most of it tho its for a good cause,

  13. After the 'moody' carp this morning, the afternoon was mostly sunny but the ruddy breeze took the edge off temps again , currently 2°c, another chilly evening ahead.
  14. jonboy many pages back i posted a 'what if' post, (I'm not a denier) just inquisitive, wow what a pile on i got, take about entrench views , i gave up with this thread after that.
  15. TwisterGirl81 19c is your min temp on your thermostat, so if your temp drops below that your heating will kick in regardless of your timer settings. Its a cold setting override.

  19. We had a hail shower about 8.15 as i was driving to work, short and sharp, snow/sleet showers up at cropton forest first thing according to reports, it really needs to warm up, log burner lit again tonight with it being 2°c outside currently.

  21. Looked at the radar this morn and it looked like it would clear by lunch but NO, its kept on drizzling/raining all afternoon and through this evening, log burner lit again and its a week away from May, really starting to 'grind my gears' now....
