  1. Why don't you engage in the model thread and offer your 'constructive' observations of what the models currently offer, rather than 'hiding' in this thread constantly criticising those whom take the time and effort to contribute? What are you afraid of?
  2. RebsAbbo i wouldnt rush to dust off the snow boots, our neck of the woods will prob miss out, its all too marginal and we are too close to the coast imo for anything significant, hope i am proved wrong but this has 'sleety crap' (if anything) written all over it!
  3. Empire Of Snow i think fwiw one or two places may get a pleasant surprise later this week, which considering how mild it is out tonight is quite a staggering flip
  4. Pretty much a nowcast situation imby later in the week, the finer details are difficult to pin down accurately, sit back, chill and see what unfolds, thought @Aiden2012 might be stirring by now
  5. Had to pop to Costa-del-Filey this aft, blowing a hoolie, Filey bay with the brigg in the back ground, moody skies...
  6. Due South or perhaps quantify one's post with more info than one line of text?
  7. @mike57 wind cranked up a notch here at Carnaby in the last hour, not checked the speeds but certainly increased in strength,
  8. Wind has picked up in the last hour or so on the Yorkshire Wolds, been a noticeably mild evening as well,
  9. Lightning strike earlier seems to have fried bt home hubs talking to neighbours? @RebsAbbo are you on line? Blowing a hoolie out there tonight aswell, just about got 4g on mobile but at least elecs back on....
  10. Just driven home through an intense down pour, thunder, lightning hailstones like marbles, temp dropped 4°c in 2 miles, white over coming into the village, that was crazy
  11. Ive had to go to work for a brew , its annoying because its the same lines in the same place for a 3rd time in 4 years, all because they trim the trees rather cutting them back properly
  12. Still no power when i left for work this morning but Northern power in the village, they might finally cut the trees back properly that run to close to the power lines, this is the 3rd time this has happened in recent times in the same place
  13. Although still knarly out, it has definitely backd off a a tad in the past hour, still ruddý stormy.
  14. Just had a peak into to the farmers field at the end of our lane, i don't think 2 out of the 3 power lines should be laid on the floor, i am no expert but i think they should be attached to the pole above
  15. 2 power lines are laid on the floor at the top of the village in a farmers field, explains our lack of electricity
  16. Elec went off at 20.50, can just get 4g in the kitchen lol, overhead power lines on the Wolds are always susceptible to this kind of storm, oh well fed and watered with log burner lit, so just gotta sit it out
  17. Power came back on and then off again! House alarms are the back drop to the howling wind.
  18. Yep, looks like thats it for the night , strangely enough i can only get 4g in the kitchen, log burner ticking away so ive got something to watch
  19. I am about 10 miles from you on the Yorkshire Wolds and it is nasty out at the moment, sideways rain and tree bending gusts and its only early,
