    Seasonal this evening, temps dropped like a stone this eve after a lovely clear day, noticed the car was frozen over at 9pm when i nipped out for some logs,

    Very mild out tonite, hardly worth lighting the log burner tbh, cottage surprisingly warm even after having a couple of windows open during the day, saves a quid or two

    Is this based on how the UK system is designed, to raise awareness (for those whom choose to take note?) But to avoid sensationalism by the MSM and therfore induce uncessary panic? I.E treading a fine line/balance?

    Surely a warning has to be relevent to the area affected more so than dictated by a fixed MPH wind speed? Topography as an example must come into the equation?
