  1. Incessant rain providing a miserable first day back at work, local lanes and fields flooded in places i haven't seen for many years on my commute, thankfully a dry period in sight with wintry prospects on the horizon.
  2. Absolutely Pouring it down atm, @Beverley Lass u should of had a bit of a squall line passing through Beverley?
  3. Squall line looks to be dipping south of here, still got heavy rain and a soaking walking up home from a 'suprise' b.day party at the local 20mins ago, cheese tostie for supper
  4. Absolutely vile day, 5°c and steady rain, which we really don't need, we have enough fields flooded locally already,
  5. Gotta keep the 'traffic' (post's) flowing tho, all about the 'likes' .....
  6. Got enough wet land round these parts tbf, 'springs' have already sprung before new year which is never a good sign locally....
  7. Its a shame because the good knowledgeable posters get drowned out by the incessant posting from the 'Like my post' one liners gang,
  8. Popped into the NW thread and its lively over West, wonder if the Pennine Weather shield will keep us 'Easties' sheltered this eve?
  9. Seasonal this evening, temps dropped like a stone this eve after a lovely clear day, noticed the car was frozen over at 9pm when i nipped out for some logs,
  10. Clear blue skies today have lead to a Chilly evening on the Yorkshire Wolds, cars all frozen over by 9pm, nicely seasonal
  11. Your doing well Pete! That was at least a coherent post..
  12. Very mild out tonite, hardly worth lighting the log burner tbh, cottage surprisingly warm even after having a couple of windows open during the day, saves a quid or two
  13. Is this based on how the UK system is designed, to raise awareness (for those whom choose to take note?) But to avoid sensationalism by the MSM and therfore induce uncessary panic? I.E treading a fine line/balance?
  14. Surely a warning has to be relevent to the area affected more so than dictated by a fixed MPH wind speed? Topography as an example must come into the equation?
