  1. Well, well Estofex has gave a storm warning.

Its been windy and gusty at times here, a destroyed fence panel; with the bins dancing around.

Weak orange glow again after sunset. Must be the jetstream overhead optical phenomina.

Keep a eye on the squall line thats currently entering south Wales i think that was the reason for the forecast from Estofex Quote:

A level 2 was issued across parts of far SE-Ireland/NW-UK mainly for (extremely) severe wind gusts but also for a nocturnal tornado threat with a strong event possible.

A level 1 surrounds the level 2 with similar hazards but lower probabilities.

  4. A couple of images took yesterday afternoon as the thaw was going on, used the drone in light rain too - but not for long, i did get higher but the mist base was too low to capture anything decent. I should have got out eairler but i had been awake best part of 22 hours so a nice sleep was on the cards!

Short lived but that night was Ace.

Thankyou ๐Ÿ˜ I was chuffed even with a glimpse. Planning a trip to Lapland for next winter so hoping for proper lights once there ๐Ÿ˜

Wow, you will see them there, just keep a eye on the solar cycle - as you know the live camers are there. In time ill try send you a few links than might be helpfull, as an amateur astronomer / weather watcher, my old saying is to look up not down, how many do that these days?

You might be a about half a cm higher than here but not 100% sure as ive not gone out and done any sort of test lol, but coming down pretty good now seems to be accumulating more rapidly so probably around the same now or soon enough.

Cant resist the ol' slipper test! Best i could thow together in quick time, after being up from 4am. That said its still snowing here but upon looking at the radar, conditionds will dissipate - then i think the ice warning will be apparent.

Its been a great night in the Mids thread, i have not 'drifted' elseware ๐Ÿ™‚

Still snowing here, got about 0.5 - 1cm, cant tell in the dark but definitely still snowing.

Likwise here, some places non touched some snowed on.

I done the slipper test, 1.8cm and i did not 'slip' over - i nearly did tho!

Technically that could be 2cm as the snow compacted under foot. Another reason i miss my feline friend, he only made one track on his paws, came back the same way. There, a starwars tip there if i ever!
