Beating a hasty retreat now as moving in rapidly -
We literally just came out for an icecream and to see the clouds and it just suddenly launched. Feeling a little trapped in one of the old Victorian beach shelters now

Bexhill is starting to light up out in the channel big style and we are out in it getting wet

Raining now ! And we are caught out in it lol

It’s lightning like crazy in the sea. Nearly got blown over on the beach

flashes out at sea visible from beach and hearing thunder

Looking stormy out so taking a walk down the beach. Will post pics shortly

The webcam is looking wet but nothing exciting

Down here on the coast it’s feeling mighty ready to go bang.

Wish we had a bottle alley here, not many places to hide on the seafront

Trying to time my trips down to the seafront so I don’t end up doing it too much.. though I do like a good cloud.. and the ice cream hut is calling

Now 24 feeling 27 here on East Sussex coast. forecast to reach 25 feeling 29. Dew point risen to 16, humidity fallen to 58, pressure dropping. Hazy round the edges but sky still blue.

Hoping we get something tonight it’s only 22 here feels like 27 meant to get to 25 (don’t want to know what that’s going to feel like) humidity 61, dew point 15, sky is clear and it’s real melting weather

Looked promising in bexhill about ten mins ago, deep black clouds to the east followed by large patch of deep purple/pink. Grabbed my phone and now it looks like this *sigh*

Just heard a fabulous deep rumble but very short. Lightening showing up on lightening.org over battle

Saw two flashes from indoors and caught one rumble, that’s what led me back on here! Missed everything this morning.

Daughter picked up the first rumble, then I caught the second and we both heard the third, then she saw the lightning, I didn’t as I was stuck behind a sofa at the time
