    Heard thunder about two minutes ago, here we go again. Apparently lightning struck a house in Awsworth yesterday, no damage reported

    Back home now, amazing clouds on the journey on the M1 with torrential downpours! Nottingham seems to be in the middle of all of it, yet I’ve heard no thunder

    Heavy shower just passed over Alfreton, no thunder. Something is happening SW of Nottingham though

    Grey and Misty this morning. Then we had brilliant sunshine for about twenty minutes which spurred on the clouds. Now quite thick cloud cover with intermittent sunshine. I think this evening is going to be good for storms here! Glad to hear you are okay Liam Burge

    So, despite Nottingham being firmly in the yellow warning, I’ve seen one flash which might not have been owt anyway. Light rain right now, with a few bursts of heavier rain, not too much though. Feeling much fresher though, a stark contrast to the mugginess an hour ago

    Classic southern whining We're baking here too and with no proper thunderstorm!

    Enjoy! Had a look on the lightning map and there was about ten strikes all at once just south of Sheffield!

    At the southern end, it looks to be looping around Ripley (north of Derby) so the southern tip will go to Mansfield or Worksop

    Still flashing here, but haven't heard thunder in about 20 mins
