  1. 7.9C and 96.5 mm, starting cold and very wet looking like a record breaker in terms of rain for the first week or 2 of April with some winteryness but then the second half turning drier and temperatures back to average, not expecting any remotely warm weather in April.
  2. Don't know if this is the right forum for this but it is to do with the output but I'm becoming increasingly concerned with very high spring tides being next weekend and with this low pushing south on Saturday into sunday with a northerly- easterly behind it coming straight off the North Sea and me being on the east coast at the moment, this could produce some very high tides on the east coast, hopefully the low pushes a bit further northwards or the winds turn slack otherwise my part of the woods might be in some trouble by next week
  3. 200+ hours GFS 18Z plays with a NW-SE alignment of lows out in the atlantic
  4. I'm at 50/50 I think the gfs has a better chance of winning out generally as the typical weather pattern at this time of year is zonal west-southwesterlies but because the gfs is on its own really at the moment with very little support I think it's an even split whether we go mild or cold
  5. I am 30 miles away from the east coast and can say that even with an easterly breeze it still feels pleasant in that sunshine, its been beautiful here with not a single cloud in the sky all day, till the sun hit the horizon So even if its a full on Easterly next week, and it will be chilly at night at least it wont be raining (hopefully no more low cloud off the north sea)
  6. Sun has finally broke free in the east, took till 2pm to get there, temperature is rising rapidly up to 14c now
  7. Finally getting some gaps in the cloud now, where the sun has just broke through, lets see how high the temp can get, as it is still 9c at midday in mid May. One word dreadful!!!
  8. I've had 0 hours of sunshine since Thursday evening now just thick low cloud for the last 3 days even starting to drizzle again now, don't think im going to get any sunshine today, now all the forecasts have changed from 20c and sunny to 12c and cloudy now but we shall see
  9. BBC saying that apparently its sunny and 15c outside but its totally wrong its 9c and its drizzling like it has been for the past 36 hours non stop, burn back to the coast please!
  10. Yes your right, and there wasn't a single bit of sunlight from dawn to dusk which made it feel even more December! But luckily if the low cloud burns away tomorrow (fingers crossed) we could be up to 17C which should feel a lot better in the sunshine, if the low cloud takes hold however, probably another day of 11C
  11. Max of 11C here in Norwich today with low cloud and persistent rain/drizzle, can't get any worse considering it's may, in some ways it felt like a mild December day
  12. A cracker of a storm here in Norwich lasted an hour with constant rumbling and grape sized hail 20230510_180919.mp4 The thunder was epic and can already hear round two on its way
  13. Still seeing the train of storms that I had 3 hours ago to my South still seeing some fork lightning not sure where its going as it seems to not be moving
  14. Had a train of cells push south and now looks like they are pushing back northwards again this is madness!
  15. Absolute monster over norwich in the hail core now frequent lightning 20230509_170510.mp4
  16. sandwiched in between cells, one to the east of me, and one to the west
  17. A short bust of very heavy rain just came over while very muggy definitely feels stormy with some interesting cloud structures, lovely smell of Petrichor in the air
  18. Although most trees did rapidly start blossoming over the weekend, when we had 18c , there is still more trees than there should be at this time of year that are completely bare, today back to the usual February-March conditions 10c loads of thick cloud feels bitter in the wind and due to hit freezing tonight can't really remember the last time we had frost here in May
  19. Forecasted cloud here all day and 9c , however sun has burnt through the low cloud and already feeling quite pleasant here
  20. 9pm and can finally see a red skyline in the distance meaning the sky is clearing finally here! Let's hope it stays that way into tomorrow this low cloud is doing my head in constantly rolling in off the North sea
  21. Low cloud all day here and drizzle temperature hasn't got above 10c all day long, this morning my app said tomorrow would reach 17c and sunny, its now saying it will reach 11 and it will be cloudy all day again looks far from warm here!
  22. Going for a high pressure favoured May, not overly warm with easterlies continuing with a couple of unsettled spells mid month warming up considerably late in the month 12.4C 46.2mm please
  23. A repeat performance of yesterday here near the east coast wall to wall strong sunshine feels pleasant out of the cold easterly wind, but still a nail biting chill in the shade, hardly spring really
