  1. Yes, in past years including last winter there was the ever present russian high which pushed warm air into eastern europe and scandi
  2. Whatever this winter may bring, I hope the chase is as fun and and exhilarating as always, plus we have plenty of time for something magical, I mean this happened at the end of winter did it not?
  3. This looks like a possible transition from the mild euro high to something more HLB based, of course we need the Atlantic to play ball.
  4. Yet a week ago we were all wishing for something closer to Feb 2018, but here we are and Feb 2019 is certainly looking more akin to the current model output. I still don't think this is the end of winter, no one starts packing their fans and AC units in the middle of August.
  5. Scotland's showers are in a different league, not sure if you can even call them showers!
  6. I think the issue is more the lack/intensity of the showers than the sun, considering the BFTE happened right at the end of Feb and we all had a lot more accumulating then. Of course I know there was melt in the sun but not on this level. Also the air being less cold directly affecting the melt doesn't seem the main cause as the uppers are more than impressive for the UK, severe in fact.
  7. Had a good covering overnight, but melting in the faint sun, showers look like passing to the north of me atm anyway
  8. Finally got some snow here in the north of the city @Vmistry IMG_3831.MOV
  9. Yes something developing near Skegness, that should be aimed more this way I think?
  10. Yep even me here, that's the luck with showers in comparison to a Jan 24 type of frontal event.
  11. just a few miles to the north here in Thurmaston, perhaps been the most frustrating day of snow watch to see it so close but not even get a proper dusting yet. I ain't lost hope for tomorrow though mate!
  12. Where abouts in the city are you?, there is nothing here
  13. yes mostly melted and the heavier stuff seems to be going to the south
  14. I wouldn't give up mate, this is showers/streamers we're talking about, a very fluid situation.
  15. Can confirm snow in Leicester but getting blown around in the strong wind.
  16. NOW THIS IS BEYOND IMAGINATION, WOWW. I WANT EVERYONE TO FRAME THIS AND REMEMBER IT THIS TIME NEXT YEAR WHEN WE'RE LOOKING AT THE ZONAL TRAIN.
