To be honest it doesn't even look like the lucky areas such as Kent are doing that well either. So far it is BFTE 1 BFTE 2.0 0. I'm moving to Rotterdam.
Maybe, but it turned from whole afternoon and night (and a fair chunk of the morning) of steady rain to settling snow. So I don't care about the amber warning anymore.

Is anyone’s snow actually sticking ? Moderate here but melting soon as it hits the ground.
Yes even at near sea level in my patch. Its looking good

Come on mate the snow is settling even in Maidstone. And that's quite rare even by 1990s standards

Could Cambridge take the unofficial title of the UK's Most snowless place? Too far east too far south and sometimes too far north this time too far west too far inland for showers wow we are so unlucky!
No Broadstairs. End of. I dont live there but it nearly always misses out even when rest of Kent get a covering

Temp -1.5 now and still dropping.
Mainly light/moderate snow.
I'm in the Amber warning zone but trust me when I say we will not be seeing 10-15cm widely at this rate.
More like 1-3 .
Hope I'm wrong but it would really need to pick up intensity..
It was always going to be Hawkinge. Is it settling in ramsgate now? It has started settling here after like 16 hours plus of rain

Ha its more meaningful now.

It's now been quite heavy but still small flakes for past hour or so in Detling, just about settling on the grass hopefully a start of things to come!
Damn I was hoping up there would be pasted.

It's snowing here but hasn't a chance in hell of settling. We haven't got a breeze here or anything.
Someone may correct me but actually but where you are is probably a really good place with a North East wind. No chance of the channel warming things up when the wind comes off the land. I guess that's why Hythe (Kent) used to do well In a snowy north easterly.

It’s not that good in Ashford, very little wind and the snow isn’t very heavy though it has laid on everything except concrete.
It's still quite marginal. The snow is only settling on the higher ground (mainly, apart from where it's hoofing down in east Kent to settle in places like Canterbury at 20 metres altitude

Looks good I’d maybe nudge that 10cm box a little more into Kent cover ashford and Canterbury, it won’t let me zoom in so you may have that covered already lol
The way things are going, places like Ashford, Canterbury and folkestone Will be in the deep snow zone. It's even snowing in lowlying Maidstone

well know someone near ash in kent and says its just pure heavy snow now... was raining when she got up
It rained the entire night in my location. There's no settling snow now, that's progress . The high ground of east kent will be buried already

It’s slowly laying on the roads and pavements. I’d expect them to be white in the next hour, however, the wind is terrible. Raw!!
Even town level here has proper snow now. Not settling obviously
-
So I take it that the Kent peeps are all getting pure snow now?

East Kent really is beautiful, each town is so different! Quirky Margate, peaceful whitstable and historical canterbury! Still a whiteout here, pavements and road slowly caving in and going white.
Yes but I grew up in Hythe, which is the most lovely town in Kent end of. And it used to snow there

Yeah. Only problem with Maidstone is the Luftwaffe missed it during 1940 only joking Maidstonians. Went to grammar school there
Yep it's a shame that it wasn't mangled in 1940. I'm not originally from here. I'm an east Kent man of old

Yeah I know. Sorry. This town is far worse by 100 miles.

I'm on the coast (can look out the window and see the sea down the road) and it's snowing here. It's light to moderate on and off, but it's all snow now. Far too light, and wet, to settle at the moment
It dropped to town level. I bet the downs 2 miles away are pasted. The hills of Hastings will be same I think

Ok There's a bit of snow going on here now. Wet though
-
At the moment it's a high ground event hopefully it will drop to town and coast level soon

Yea it was good for a while. Shows that the east Kent clipper may send a few dregs further west before it fizzles.
