Genuine Question. Why are we anticipating it to be upgrades? I know it’s been the direction of travel thus far, but surely it could as easily go the other direction.

We've had around 4 to 7 cms of snow. Large amount of drifting with a couple drifts 20 to 30 cms, where all the snow has blown off the driveway and funneled in corners.
Extreme variance in depths due to gusts that sounded close to 50mph at times, some places were left nearly bare with the wind
Turning to sleet now and the melt begins.

Little to no thaw away from branches. Negative 3 tonight, with fog. Looks like somewhere in Russia. Can the met office give more than a yellow warning for ice? Cause I think it would be warranted tonight.

One of the worst days of weather I’ve ever seen. Squally rain, heavy showers now turning to sleet and snow with sudden fierce gusts. Everything is soaked. Looks like a blizzard out there
