Reckon they will last once the sun goes down? If it carries on into Wales I might get a good view of some night lightning

@ancientsolarI see it, with some towers in tow too

about 3-5 miles West of Barnstaple, something certainly going on there against the grain of the light rain.
I'm gonna look off the balcony

Looking at Devon , something developing there.. - and the cluster of Storms in the South is really going off!
Whereabouts? It looks like there's cumulus now the crud has passed and it's very humid here, but any developments near Barnstaple would be very welcome for me

Not often we see a high risk from Convective Weather. I will be heading north west into the high risk zone this afternoon.
Godspeed supacell, I'm heading to Devon today for holiday reasons, I'd have gotten the train to Liverpool if I weren't.

After an hour of ominous skies, the heavens have opened and there's been a couple distant rumbles. No direct hit again but I reckon if I stare at the storm I'll see a couple flashes

Pretty much all the strikes were far away and that one came out of nowhere so I thought the storm wouldn't end up moving that close, was also fairly close to a forest about a stone's throw to the left of me.
I will admit wasn't the safest of things I've done there.
I've done something similar, I was storm chasing with a friend along the A1 a couple years back and I needed to take a leak, so we pulled over in a lay by near a farmer's field. I'm mid stream and my entire field of view just goes purple, and instantly I could hear the loudest bang I've ever heard. I thought I'd exploded

I think it's over for me here in Notts, unless we get surprised by a late bloomer, I was just a little too far west to get a direct hit. Heard some loud thunder and saw some cool cloud formations though.

Apparently there's been a sighting of a funnel cloud near Newark
Makes sense, given what I saw earlier, that storm with the nub thingy coming off the bottom was headed that way

Shower spawned right on top of me and turned thundery, two loud booms.

They were forecasted to die off in the evening hours due to surface heating stopping. But I don’t know if the cooling temperatures might trigger something?
Well if it wants to do that, I hope it happens soon! There's a juicy looking shower headed my way that's popped up in the past half hour.

What are the chances these storms will pep up again when it gets darker?

sferics just gone nuts to my south,...near Derby
@Supacell,...you hear thunder?
I did! And I got hit by hail that I'm pretty sure is going to leave me with bruises, about 6-8mm

After the thundersnow, this week is shaping up to be interesting, I would love a wet and unsettled summer, I hope this start to spring is a good indicator of things to come.

The only way I can describe today is... yo-yo snow. The temperature has been up and down more times than I can count on both hands
-
I don't know if my ears are deceiving me but I could swear I've just heard a rumble of thunder from one of the heavy showers to my south
-
Looks like some of the snow showers are making it inland, I'm getting snowed on as I type, a welcome surprise considering it wasn't on any of the forecasts I saw
