Spain and peninsular Italy have different rainfall distribution by month. In peninsular Italy the two wettest months are usually November and December, so we can define a late-autumn peak, while in Spain November is drier than October and September. In Spain the spring is wetter than winter, we can observe a secondary minimum in late-winter (February and March), before a rainfall growth in April and May, while in Southern Italy, in the second part of spring, the amount of rainfall begins to decrease, before the usual summer drought
