  1. 1.2c currently some light wet snow showers moving through. GFS providing some interest for Monday across Yorkshire. One to watch.
  2. A short spell of wet snow here this afternoon giving a temporary covering. Looking quite windy across the region tomorrow afternoon into the evening. Gusting close to 70mph at Tan Hill today but could see 80-90mph gusts tomorrow.
  3. Christmas Day, frozen north with the cold air flooding south soon after.
  4. Storm Arwen back in November saw a max gust of 110mph above Settle (460m) in North Yorkshire and we have already seen a gust of 100mph on Wether Fell (515m) near Hawes this afternoon.
  5. I reckon sub -10c tonight, one local station already at -5c. Deep snow covered glens of Scotland will get low providing cloud and wind stay away.
  6. ECM 216 following what many of GEFS peturbs were showing with height rises over Scandi and an East flow setting up. Hmmm, interesting perhaps a new trend?
  7. Thanks Kasim appreciate that Certainly a chilly set of GEFS Ens this evening.
  8. A White Christmas at the Tan Hill although not much, tomorrow looking much snowier!
  9. The latest NMM run has snow affecting some southern areas on Boxing Day morning.
  10. Pfft, only 1000ft? That’s pretty much sea level compared to here. Latest GEFS for Yorkshire. Looking like a few days with snow chances after Xmas.
  11. GFS Ensembles solid for Yorkshire area until the big day and then they split massively. op and control in the lower section, guessing those warmer runs are similar to this mornings EC det.
  12. Xmas day now within reach of the NMM model. Here's what its showing for 1pm on the big day.
  13. GFS at 72hrs, very little change on previous run. Wonder if we will see it move towards UKMO/ECM on this run.
