  1. Isn't it nice to have our normal summer weather back again? No oppressive heat, no sweaty nights with fans running 24/7. Bliss!
  2. Finally able to sit outside and not sweat! Glory glory be! And even after the huge temp drop since yesterday it's still pleasant enough outside, glimmers of sun poking through and a pleasant breeze. All we need now is some rain.
  3. At this rate the heat will never shift. There's virtually no wind and it's still stifling indoors.
  4. Met Office shows a very gradual (too gradual!) drop in temperatures over the coming hours. Stuck with temps above 30 degrees until after 8pm.
  5. Perfectly timed too. The worst thing about this time of year is the very early sunrises which, when it's sunny and warm is torture for me. At least if hot weather does appear later this summer the days will be a little shorter which might makeit slightly more bareable.
  6. Very true, and another thing to note is the earliest sunrises of the year are a couple of days before the soltice which considerimg my own circumstances is the most important thing.
  7. Walking home in this weather's no fun but at least I can cool off a bit now. I'm certainly looking forward to Friday's cooler outlook that's for sure.
  8. Not everyone has the same taste in weather. Sorry. Not everybody likes the sun, especially those of us with an east-facing bedroom. Even with blackout blinds it still gets very warm when you have the sun blasting through at 5:30 in the morning.
  9. I'm not keen on extreme cold either to be honest. Just give me drizzle, 9 degrees celsius and grey skies and I'm happy.
  10. Amazing to think the longest day is almost upon us and then the days start to shorten again. Time seems to just fly by sometimes
  11. Another week of warm weather before a cooler weekend. Wish the cooler weather would hurry up quite frankly.
  12. Looks like it's warming up again later this week, although not as bad as last week (hopefull). Oh, and one really petty moan - is anyone else really tired of the metO write-ups for the day's weather? Quote from Tuesday' forecast on the metO webste: "...plent of warm sunshine for all." Excuse me? What about those of us who don't want sunshine? Those of us who hate heat? I get it, some people like this weather bit others don't. Can't the metO just tell is what the weather's going to do instead of working from the assumption that we all want warm weather? /rant over.
