  1. 8.8C and 60mm of rain .. November is the No sun month for me or it has been . From mid month onwards with the light dropping it gets more tricky to feel upbeat , but the sun when it does show has the lovely orange glow at sunset .
  2. Weather warning issued for tonight and tomorrow morning for heavy rain . The day wasn't toobad until 5pm then the rain started .Top temp 14C .
  3. Not morbid, just being practical , thank you . It's not warm today thankfully just sore and not red. I'm putting it down to overdoing it for a couple of days. Temperature here after a very wet night is 15.3C , 95% humidity and pressure1008mb. Quite a drop from recent days . Beka, I hope your antibiotics help you out ASAP, sinus problems are horrid. Thanks for all your concerns though .
  4. 16.6 C after a top temperature of 20C today . Grey first thing , then brightness , then brief sun , then overcast and now heavy rain . I'm glad you are on the mend @Dorsetbred, you'll get plenty of exercise removing the critters from your cucumbers. I'm just keeping an eye on my scar as the pain has intensified and woke me in the middle if the night , there's a lump forming too . This afternoon it felt very warm to the touch and im hot one min feeling a little chilled the next . I'm hoping it's the healing process and not anything else because I'm only a week past finishing antibiotics . It looks dry and not weeping so who knows ? Yesterday I felt really good, tired yes, but really thought aha this is more like it . If things continue to get worse I'll phone the hospital dept for advice . I think it's a blip though and nothing sinister.
  5. My cucumber plant is flowering again as well and late sweet peas are starting to bud as well. Parsley has regrown too. Mist lifted and a bright day occurred. How are you feeling now @Dorsetbred?
  6. Had a beautiful day out yesterday , first a hospital appt in Exeter , beautiful then onto Exmouth and a fabulous walk along the sea front in beautiful sunshine . 23C . This morning it's misty and foggy , autumnal looking and feeling especially with sunrise nearer to 7.30 am .
  7. A beautiful day here today, 23.6C sunshine and warm despite a slight breeze. I went to a doggy birthday party , my daughter's dog who is just gorgeous is 3 today. It was in a special dog paddock with obstacle course, paddling pool and hot tub . He had his doggy pals who were all brilliantly behaved were having a fab time just being able to run around and be dogs and I saw all, four of my lovely children . Feeling better in myself today and I've decided to get some decent vitamins as my long term meds apparently deplete key vitamins that food alone won't restore . Thanks for your support on here it does help just to get it out of my head. Going to maybe go to the coast tomorrow and have a little stroll . Hope you feel better soon @Dorsetbred.
  8. Yes I read that too but thank you :-) , I think if even though I'm following the plan and things aren't picking up then I'll phone and see if I can have a word with GP. A little more cloud now and the early October evening is feeling a little fresh, but that is how it should be I suppose . It's been sunny intervals here with quite a fresh breeze but it was pleasant when I went out in the garden for a bit. The bees are buzzing on the lavender and Salvia so that's good to see and my bulbs are bee loving ones . Thanks again for your replies .
  9. Aww bless you lovely xx I'm so sorry things are grim right now .I dint know what to suggest other than make an appt with GP ( yeah I know it must be tricky to see anyone )! But, you've suffered long enough . Xx
  10. Blue skies and fluffy clouds here , breezy but I imagine pleasant . Must try and put bulbs in today . A question, is it common to feel " low" after an operation. I'm not depressed , just feel," meh" and hard to get going again. I've tried a few times to do things and I'm completely stuffed, no energy , and need to sit or lie down for the rest of the day . Its getting annoying mind wise but I don't seem to have a choice . I've finished antibiotics , pain is quite bad still at times though wound healing nicely, still swollen obviously but I dunno just can't seem to pick up.
  11. That is draining, very draining especially if self help measures are being refused . Is it worth a Dr's visit , get proper pain relief for her and a chat about fibre and diet? My eldest had hormone treatments for it as she was so bad with it . It is very hard when one parent can waltz out the door ( I know it's your husbands aunties funeral ) , but a week seems excessive to me . I wish I could help you in some way . Xx In weather news its sunny for five minutes here , maybe able to try and plant some bulbs and sow sweet pea seeds .
  12. Oh Hun xx bringing up kids is very lonely at times and boring , I remember wanting to do stuff but couldn't. I loved my kids don't get me wrong but there were days when I just wanted to do something different. Christmas on its way ... time for lights decorations . Xx
  13. I've been v quiet , resting up , v tired and pain not great. . I'm hoping the pain is the last day of it . Tomorrow it will be a week since it's been done . It's been dull and overcast with a shower near lunchtime . It's 15C here but humidity was high. Hoping it changes tomorrow. Looks like a warm weekend ahead ?
  14. I will mend in time as long as I'm sensible . I have a Sophie :-) , a good one she is too. Sorry to hear your Sophie is poorly , there is so much going around now despite the warmth and humidity . I hope she recovers quickly and I hope you don't suffer anymore colds either xx The evening drew in rather quickly tonight I thought making it feel autumnal now for me . Hoping for some sun tomorrow to sit out in it just as change of scenery . The garden is looking good considering, roses flowering , lavender looking good . I bought some daff bulbs to plant so next week I'll be putting them in .
  15. I'm feeling delicate physically but it is to be expected , I think it will be a little while until, I feel okay, just because this has been going on for at least two,and a half years and a good few years before that in a more mild way . How are you lovely lady ? Xx
  16. I can't spell either lol. Vertebral issue is rheumatoid arthritis in neck compressing nerves as well as gland was so big it's caused nerve damage apparently. I was made to feel I was making a fuss about nothing. I can't begin to tell you how sheepish the surgeon was when he said what he found . He couldn't believe it . It's grey and meh like here , no thunder , big rain spots every so often . 18.2C 95% humidity . Hopefully the sun will break out tomorrow.
  17. Now is the time to take it D supplements till March especially as the sun wasn't shining in July and August . The body doesn't store nor can it make vit D so the sun is the best way to get some especially in April to beginning of September, followed by supplements during the winter . No need for expensive ones . Eat magnesium rich foods as that helps with vit D absorption.
  18. 22C here , humid , warm , sunny intervals .
  19. Heloo, just sneaking in here in time , 12.7C and oh let's see 90mm .
  20. I have vertebrae instability in my neck which means the nerves are compressed when I turn my head, pins n needles and weakness down one side . Thry had to reposition me on the table and give oxygen as my compressed nerves depressed the breathing. But I feel I'm getting somewhere now. I'm obviously feeling washed out but I'm being positive about it. Glad you areon the mend lovely, but chasing chooks sounds exhausting. I like the idea of chickens but I'm in rented so I don't think it would go down well . Lol . I'm sorry about your husband's aunty especially as you can't go xx We can keep you company though xx
  21. Ha ! I don't feel or look gorgeous but your comment made me smile . Chuckling is painful. Well, after being made to feel that the op wasn't important it turns out it was very very important. The consultant was shocked at the size of the gland and said he wasn't surprised I was getting so poorly. I'm allowed home despite chest and probably where the gland was infection . So yes it went well. Found out other stuff too. How are you lovely lady ? Xx
  22. Allowed out for good behaviour lol. Have chest infection definitely- again and possible infection where gland has been . Just glad to be going home . There are some dementia patients in another ward who are shouting loudly to get out. They are so confused it's heartbreaking. Clouding over here a bit . Nice autumnal day mind you. Weekend looks okay .
  23. Looks like blue sky here from my hospital window . Drain out , have chest infection though:( but providing I promise to rest I can go home with antibiotics and loads of pain relief . Glad it's over , it needed to be done and it shocked the consultant to find what he did .The scans didn't show the extent of the enlargement. I had my salivary gland out btw. I'll be resting , weather watching and posting on here .
