    Instead of pushing back the slowing of zonal winds to a further date, the EMCWF has done the opposite. This could easily be an anomaly and might not mean anything though

    Since no one else seems to be looking at the new GraphCast model which is apparently the most accurate, I will. By late Nov, we are put under high pressure from the south which brings 850hpa temps above 8C in places. The PV appears strong but had at least weakened over the week before. Sadly, there aren't heights over Scandinavia.

    I wouldn’t personally use BBC weather and I rather AccuWeather since it’s far more accurate

    Decent GFS run for snow in the north. Would be great if this was a month later!

    I have no idea what this means because im practically a rookie at this kind of meterology First improvement in the chance of an SSW in a long time

    Looking at CFS charts again, the pattern is SW weather in early winter while the rest has decent chances of cold weather

    Looking at the CFS charts, recent runs have been suggesting a mild December with weather coming from either the west or the S/SW and then January getting weather coming from the west and chances of cold weather from the NW and some cold developing in the NE which usually stays in the east or hitting our east

    I decided to look at the recent CFS charts in hope to spot any patterns emerging and the best chances of cold appear to be January and early March For where I was, July and August was just wet and mild weather while the only hot weather was ironically in June and September

    Very exciting but worrying at the same time! Wouldn't be very nice to get 120mph gusts in my location lol

    I remember a few years back I was on holiday at the Isle of Wight and there were gusts of over 120mph only a few miles away from where I was. I luckily missed the worst and got gusts of 70-80mph but that was still easily the most windy weather I’ve ever witnessed

    Maybe there is hope for a snowy winter after all!

    I would love to see an SSW which mixed with El Niño and current patterns (which might not mean anything lol), could see a big early winter snow!
