  1. Am I correct in thinking that positive NAO is supposed to bring us Atlantic weather; milder, windier (southwesterly's), wetter weather. Whereas negative NAO, generally cooler (in winter, hotter in summer), drier, more settled conditions? At the beginning of this month there was a very negative NAO and lots of Atlantic weather! Anyone know why? Or is this theory not properly proven?
  2. Does anyone know how often the Metoffice weather model updates? I can see it updated at 12:00, but I am wondering how many times this happens a day. Tomorrow is currently looking interesting around the Gloucestershire area.
  3. I think I will have to make do with this magnificent Satellite image instead of a chase tonight, though you really never know I feel a 3 or 4 hour drive from Gloucestershire is a bit too painful for this risk level
  4. That's just unnecessary language @matty40s, I appreciate your forecasts @Eagle Eye I agree with @Flash bang flash bang etc that having a separate website with the detail as Convective Weather used to have would be great, if possible? I imagine it does take significant time and some money to do this though.
  5. I love how even the more 'humble' storms like this one express their completely unique transformational life stories. This one formed up near Leominster, quickly moved all the way to Gloucester in an hour and then suddenly darted South-westwards in a little bowing segment.
  6. Been a long (ish) lull but a promising forecast tomorrow for a corridor between Cardiff to London particularly
