its wild here in south wales, but working tomorrow at cbyc for our new years day race so will be sat on a rib all day, at least it will be dry and pleasant

They probably won't release the doppler but yet more signs that it was likely a tornado. Probably the first time I've seen them mention a storm being a Supercell straight away as they're normally more conservative with that and just call them thunderstorms for the general public. So clearly it must have had a very Supercellular like profile on doppler radar for them to call it one straight away. Really strong storm to occur on the 28th December.

had a bit of loud thunder this morning about 05:45, loads of strikes

there was a bit of lightning last night off portland, only reason I knew was because of blitzortung as I couldnt see it from my work near the nothe fort
back in south wales now after long hard week in work, no afloat apart from thurs launching 2 of our ribs but boat maintainence all week.

just as well I popped into CBYC last eve to check CBYC ribs and sea cadet craft as well made sure club ribs elephants trunks were down for draining water etc, wind has died off, but still raining in cardiff tho
