    Just took a trip (3 hours) from here to Selsey Bill. Thunderstorms were frustratingly out to sea. There was a lot of flashing and a few rumbles but precious few CG visible from land. Started to rain, so had to wrap it up and come home.

    Looks like its gonna get to land soon but with daylight only a few hours away, it'll be day time storms for us. Much prefer night time storms.

    radar is baffeling me atm, storms are staying south of bristol channel?

    There should be some good storms about to chase so good luck if you do, I think you will have a great chance of seeing some good stuff.

    as i said dave depends how tired i am after tonights staying up, either that I use my sea cadet unit's viking (slow motor boat) and take photos from the bristol channel only does 8 knots but is really powerful against the tide, probably take my assistant boats officer if he's off :D for a run

    LOL and there you were wondering earlier this evening, meanwhile nothing here in West Wiltshire except hearing some distant thunder just around 20.00!

    Am gonna go upstairs now it's dark in the hope of seeing lightning to the NW as the edge of the storm system is visible.

    Hopes are pinned on the MCS exiting France for an early awakening tomorrow!

    Lovely bolt of lightning here, looks very thundery indeed now, its about to hit in the next 10 minutes

    as I live in cardiff, driving back saw pink and blue lightning bolts :lol:

    Lol keep safe, some rumbles to my east, i have seen some lightning but nothing much yet, seems your storm is heading my way but it could die out

    I'm based at barry unit as barry's boats officer :lol: but I was there because penarth unit wants boats :lol: and I was at a meeting sorting out what ones they wanted :)

    Very strange weather, a storm just about to hit the southern coast of wales again, but its died out here now, i could hear frequent thunder 20 minutes ago, now thunder every 2-3minutes. Anyone in cardiff?? Whats it like there?

    was in penarth sea cadet unit tonight at a meeting and i left early as I was scared :lol: :lol:

    when i was there the power flickered a bit

    Anybody in south wales, according to isle of wight lighting dectector you should be getting hammered or about to be!!!

    there is a massive storm heading towards port talbot and swansea :(

    not sure about tonight though, I think just thundery showers tonight

    WOW!!!

    Iam hopeing that the storm in the SW goes a bit futher north. Im in North Cardiff and have had nothing all day, sky is very dark though, wah chances of us catching a storm here in RhonddaCyonTaff and North Cardiff?

    It must be cold Mr Crazy snowfan is out in June. :hi:

    A couple of hours ago there was a distant CB way to the east/SE would of been interesting if that was earlier as it was coming from the east direction,see what tomorrow brings.

    just come back from stocktake :huh: in stroud :) , on the way there drove through a thunderstorm on the M5

    fork lightning and loud thunder B) , the road was like a river

    just to let u know guys :)
