well yesterday went ok for us in sea cadets at the district regatta, got 1 rowing team (combined cardiff/newport unit) going through to area now so i'm happy, powerboat handling came second so need to up the training, and the storms held off as well. easterly wind wasnt much of a problem as I was on a viking (motor launch) so held it into wind using the engine as if you keep the vessel head to wind you retain control, then got the rowing teams to row to me so I could take up the tow and tow them to the start line

i'm scared of thunderstorms as well, hence why i'm on this site

its a decaying storm, the cells nearby will collapse soon

top one, south wales in for direct hit, going to be interesting down barry docks as we got the sea cadet district power and rowing comp, and i'm on safety

another part of the forum, maderia airport is shut due to the heavy rain, I think it will be very very heavy rain for us this weekend, storms will be daytime coinciding with daytime heating

it all depends how far the low comes towards us, looking at the UKMO fax charts for thurs, it has a cold front coming from the south which i have never seen before, so not sure how this will pan out.

been nice all day, I've been checking blitzortung and they are having loads of storms during the day which fade at night, I wonder if the atmosphere is being mixed up down there

tbh its too far out at the moment,

lovely clear evening, birds are a tad noisy as been watering the lawn, as put some rolls of turf down some weeks back due to issue of a nuisance tree nicking all the water

been a cracking day today, lovely weekend off work, dad and I have been busy, did both front and back lawns and the grass verge, did some patio work as well whilst my stupid golden retriever was watching, also popped to b&q to get turf as got a annoying bare patch on the rear lawn which i've tried re-seeding to no avail. so this is the next option.

it will be interesting in work tomorrow eve as will be sat on a rib in the middle of cardiff bay for the yacht racing,
