  2. I complemented them! On their summer storm forecasts, they just cant handle snow and thats probrably down to the models anyway oh deary me, the capital letters are out to play, it hasnt even started and people are cursing and flaming already Oh well only 2 days till half term, unless school is closed, then my bid not to do my history coursework will pay offf haha I relly shoulf get to sleep soon Ok i am dissapointed with reports so far but im not sharing my misery with everyone through capital letters, pleaseif you are peed off, shout at the wall or your dog or something but not on here... 3. Its not going pear shaped, its only just begun... Dont listen to beeb peoples, listen to Metcheck and the smart people on this place, beeb dont have a clue and from expeirience metoffice are only good at predicying summer thunderstorms, which i must hand it to em, were very accurate last year, despite the fact the beeb supposedly works with metoffice, why do their forecasts contradict most of the time? If ya want snow, move to Iceland! Joe
  4. Yeh an almost identicle situation to the one when i tookthe picture, i dont think it became a HP supercell that time though just a very powerful thunderstorm. Joe
  5. I know this is not to do with saturdays event but its a pic of a possible HP Supercell that hit The Thanet area back in July  Joe
  6. Yes when the storm arrived here it arrived very quickly, it was only about 7 minutes between the first sighting of the cell to the first thunder. Joe

By now the weather ahd chjanged to cool and fresh conditions, but the actvity became more violent, this time we had many showers blowin in from the North West, thunder wasreported nearby but im unsure if i heard any here, however there was an interesting gust front on one cell, this whole thing was rolling and stretched across the horrizon, taken looking Southish.

  11. From the album: Stormy 06

Late May as you probrably know was very cold, this was taken at a town called Wissant very near Calais, looking back at the English coastline. It was freezing all week and very windy, this shower cloud drifted towards us from Kent, but dissipated as the sun set.

© Post it where you like, just make sure you mention it was mine! =D

  14. 16.2 August is a funny month, its a bit like May, it can either be the start of autmn (like 2004) or a real scorchio summer month (2003!), September is the same. I think with stubbourn blocking its going to be warm, even if it isnt boiling hot. Joe
  15. Yeh there was a multicell event crossing the country almost every week, it would allways start with storms moving up from biscay over the west then moving Ne across here, it would always wake me up about 5 which a couple of rumbles then just dynamic rainfall the rest of the day clearing to fresher sunnier weather. This pattern kept reapeating itself, we had very little home grown stuff unlike this year. Joe
