This would mean a higher chance of seeing stronger shortwaves energy moving along the the upper jet. So I would think that the chances would be greater for an active severe weather season. I really think 2011 will have an early start to tornado season as La Nina is famous for this. I predict that conditions could be similar to that of 2008.
