I'm not sure if we'll even get rain here to be honest.
Some forecasts are predicting nothing, whilst others are predicting we will have thunder at around 9pm - 1am. We'll just have to wait and see.
Yes mate. Lots of different forecasts and models. Like you, I'm not that confident, best chance this week so far though.

I think it'll be another miss for the south-west, we've had no thunder this year.
Where about are you ? The south west definately has had storms this year

You must only be a rare visitor to this thread to ask that!
They are running jokes that are now becoming serious business. Basically areas that are now beyond storm-starved.
COS and TOD (Cone of Doom and Triangle of Doom) are SE Essex/Suffolk @Paul Sherman will be able to confirm.SOR (Shield of Resistance) is a newer one and it's basically central south (Hants, Dorset, Sussex, south coast in general). I'm inside the SOR, hence I haven't seen a single proper thunderstorm all year!
Ahh, got ya. Used to be a regular on here, but not so much now. Thanks mate.

Met office removed warning for the south tomorrow night.

One weekend of the year I don't want significant rainfall is this coming weekend. Sods law.

Going from these model outputs, could anyone tell me if it will be particularly wet or just cloudy ?
-
That's 11 tomorrow morning until 8 tomorrow evening

Thanks mate, big airshow 14th

These storms coming off the continent are killing our sunshine, and by the time they move into western areas will contain little if any electrical activity anyway. East is best at the moment

Got a decent storm risk for here later when this morning there was 0%. Makes the day a bit more interesting.

Can definitely feel the humidity here in Somerset, just waiting for this pesky low cloud to burn back. Hoping for a storm today, but netweather forecast giving nothing, yet met office have a warning out. Still looking good for sun and heat regardless .
-
Severe weather Europe (Facebook page) mentions good conditions for storms in the south and south West today but no mention of it here or anywhere else. Is anything expected down south today ?
-
Still waiting for the sun here in Somerset. A nice sunny day, small chance of a homegrown and a load of Thatchers is a perfect way to spend the day before relaxing in front of a massive storm this evening/tonight..... Or too drunk and sleep through it.

Thundering here

Met office going with the settled theme from mid next week for the south at least, more changeable for the northern half of the country. Signs are there, just hope this remains so

There are signs of improvement next week on the Gefs 6z mean as the Azores high ridges in with at least the southern half of the UK seeing a change to largely fine and warmer weather. It looks like a north / south split further ahead too with the south continuing with the best of the conditions but the north seeing some pleasant spells too.
Festival that weekend, so I'll take those charts. Met office also hint at a more settled period during this time, let's hope it materialises

Regarding storms, the bbc are terrible at forecasting them.

Decent airshow weather again. Two consecutive nice weekends. Love it.

I also caught the BBC forecast of thundery rain possibly moving up from France on Sunday. Heard nothing of that until then though
