Sorry, yeah yeovilton, somerset. Can deal with showers if that's the case, starting to get the impression of a thundery breakdown Saturday which usually leaves a load of low level muck. Cheers for the reply frosty , shall be keeping a close eye on this anyway as is likely to change. Thanks

What's the precipitation predictions for the 8th, got an airshow Saturday and can do without that

Hopefully an improvement as we head into July, what with the airshow season and festival season getting underway , don't want this current weather to continue. Going to go with the metoffice who signal a change to better week 2 of July onwards

Metoffice outlook sounds quite promising from week two onwards

I've been watching the Cornwall videos all day aswell, really wish I was down there for that event, although to be fair we did have a pretty good show here. There's a good YouTube video of a storm filmed off the isle of scilly although from a year or two ago. Can't post links, my phone hasn't got the minerals

Its not all bad, potentially another 4 months of these sort of set ups, but all to often that last night's events happen the way that they did.

It's 50/50 by the sounds of things, hence the coin toss
I'd say it's 50/50 for anyone inside the risk zones. No one really knows

If you live in south/south west U.K. and you want to know if you'll get some storms later, toss a coin, and there's your answer.
Whys that, do you have a better chance ?

Main thundery band has more of an north east movement to it now, looked like it was heading towards the west country but looks not to be at this stage
-
Going to get a drenching if what's heading towards the west stays on track. Is it likely to become more electrified as it hits the land, not a lot of lightning being detected
-
Hopefully, bbc seem to think so, they've forecast storms in the past though and just end up with rain. Maybe just covering themselves after last night's bad boy
-
BBC forecast for tomorrow late afternoon / overnight looks ok with heavy showers storms moving up from the south. One area of storms for the West and another for the east. If what the bbc show is true then it's going to be an all nighter .

Its kicking here now

Quality. Constant lightning to my west and can see some coming up from the south now, hopefully going to be pretty much in the firing line at some point. What a show though

What we must recognise is that these storms over Spain were not forecast by ESTOFEX, anything could happen!
Their not thunderstorms though, are they ? No lightning detected down there

I don't think anything this side of the Bristol channel, but you never know

Oh dear, I'm right on the edge of the slight risk, looks like we'll see lots of Altocumulus Castellanus clouds overnight giving one or two thundery downpours before the main action starts through Devon, Wales and NW England overnight tomorrow.
bbc putting storms no where near us tomorrow night mate, just going to have to except we're not at risk this time around. Devon doesn't appear to be at risk at all
-
Must agree, nothing to suggest anything thundery will occur here today. Next few days look much more favourable
-
cloud thinning and sun breaking through here now
