  1. I personally don't have moisture problems in my potato and leak patch. I've been using a mixture of leaf mould (from the nearby woods) and dry grass as a thick mulch and it's always moist underneath.
  2. Lightning is very infrequent; but it is impressive when it occurs - purple CC arcs and lighting up the night sky.
  3. Some overhead CC lightning here and pretty heavy rain.
  4. Neighbor just told me that water is coming through her roof.
  5. Heavier rain moving in now, and I'm concerned there could be some local flooding if it keeps up.
  6. Maybe. But I regard PEAK OIL to be far more relevant and important an issue. It's also much easier to understand.
  7. The reservoirs should start to fill up again if the GFS sticks to its guns
  8. This is the sort of convective weather I like. A cell approaching from the south-west that actually back-develops enough not to scrape by....a rarity. Good stuff. EDIT - Very nice rainbow.
  9. Light patchy rain here. It looks like the cells will scrape by to my south.... EDIT - Can hear rumbles of distant thunder.
  10. He survived lightning seven times, but he couldn't survive a broken heart. Women.....
  11. Puts our systems here in the UK to shame LOL
  12. http://www.telegraph...evastation.html This is an interesting read: - http://www.solarstorms.org/SRefStorms.html
  13. Great stuff. It looks like Monckton has been truly discredited.
  14. A friend of mine in Coventry has reported a big shower and there is local flooding in the area.
  15. Never come across one of those. I'm a bit curious as to how they'd form in those conditions.
  16. I've never witnessed anything like that. It's insane.

  18. If the relief wells fail by August...then we could see some significant pockets hit the UK. But nobody knows for sure, that's also what I find worrying. http://rawstory.com/rs/2010/0604/expert-3-times-amount-oil-cap-work/
  19. Hence, why I said "could" eventually hit Britain. This is not really an oil "spill". It's an undersea oil volcano spewing out massive amounts of oil every day at high pressures 5,000 feet beneath the Gulf of Mexico.
  20. Destroying parts of the Atlantic ocean eco-system with toxic dispersants.... http://www.cbc.ca/ca...oil-spread.html
  21. In my experience, I find WMV files have better compression than .AVI files with not much quality loss either.
  22. 19C hot? No way. But it's ideal summer weather for me.
  23. It must be awful experiencing that sort of heat, and knowing you will have no air conditioning. The people NEED to follow what the Iranians have done for years (if they don't have access to electrified air conditioning): - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windcatcher
