A few pics from round our way of the snow event of the last 24hrs, the first is a bit blurred as i was being blown away in a gale just after getting back home from work at 4am this morning - the snow drift pics are all that was left about 1km from the house after the sun had worked its magic on the snow when I eventyually got out of bed at about 1pm.

I've always got time for a creme egg, and if not I make time - I think the first and third pictures are looking toward Wetherlam which is around 760m, its a great walk from its top down the prison band and over to swirl how I would imagine it's going to be extremely cold up there over the next few days!

Superb scenery, the last couple are a tad dark but still wonderful to look at, can't wait to get up there next week for a few days.

Those pictures show just what a beautiful place the lake district is, must say my favourite is the Helvellyn close up with the green/snow contrast - I always try and spend at least a couple of days each month up there, we're off to Eskdale for 3 days at the end of March then Dufton in April, Ennerdale in May and Grasmere in June.

Mmmmmm, having gone through the thread I understand that some form of critique would be of use in certain cases - but as far as my own pictures are concerned I do not profess to be any sort of photographer of merit at all, they are just what I see around me while out walking/scrambling about in the hills, perhaps an outdoor persuits area would be a more suitable place for these.
