    It's snowing quite heavily again here :-O. Not sure how long it will last tho looking at radar. Annoyingly all the traffic cams seem to not be working on the A465 heads of the valleys stretch.

    Well I for one am more than happy. It's still snowing quite a bit here but very very fine flakes and I got a good covering. If this freezes it's gonna be lethal!

    I have tried to upload a photo but can't as the forum uses flash and I'm on my iPad which can't use flash! Grrrr frustrating! Sorry, you'll all have to take my word for it :-D

    Whereabouts are you? There's a good cm or 2 cover here in tred including the road (side road) and it's absolutely belting down at the moment. No consistency tho - bursts of big fat juicy flakes then dandruffy bits.

    Delurking for once! Im getting a bit excited about the snow prospect for here on Saturday. I'm in Tredegar and at over 300m, I think I'd be quite unlucky not to catch a glimpse of something!

    Heavy snow here overnight which stopped about 8am! Unexpected really as this area wasn't due to get anything substantial. Guestimate at about 8 inches but there is a hell of a lot of drifting so hard to give an exact amount. I'm going off the level snow on my patio table - technical eh?! Another day off work for me! Just started to snow here again. Am interested in the MetO warning that's just been issued for here on Sunday!

    Take my word for it... Tredegar is very bad and Brynmawr will be worse. MetO flash warnings for heavy snow extended until 3am.

    Thanks for the replies! I was soooooo hoping to get a day off work tomorrow - quite a distance to travel from here to Cwmbran. Will have to wait and see I guess.

    Getting conflicting information... some are saying we will get it, others are saying we won't. At 330m asl, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
