Reckon that snow train will affect us all later...heres hoping

NAE is not the best guide for convectional snow
better than the gfs though?
-
After reading all your posts I have just got a red wine.
Well if your allowed so am I!
No roast today as having steak and trimmings tonight.
Would be nice for one snow day.
Has anyone noticed all the snow or nearly snow falls have been weekends, the kids Havnt had a snow day here yet.

Can tell you come from the financial center lol
lol.....mate ill take another Sunday like Jan of 1p size which brought 10 hours of snow/sleet/snizzle...was a great day with plenty of white wine...such as today...building up to the 'event'.........loving it ...prob get nil but this is great build up ha ha
-
Too small
Ok fifty pound size flakes
-
Just prepared the kitchen for this evening's meal. . Roast Chicken with honey roasted vegetables, roast potatoes and red wine gravy. Oh and some chilled vino of course. All that is needed afterwards is some snow
Or 50p sized flakes falling as you start
-
Sometimes think this is the best part - the build-up
Totally agree the models showing -10 uppers...the upgrades/downgrades...emotional rollercoaster of a potential cold/snow event...even in March...cannot beat it for weather in UK imho...............Fantastic build up...Lets hope this delivers even for a few days ....bearing in mind we are in March in 2013...not 63 or 47.
-
Temp dropping now 2 dew 0 snizzle......love the reports coming in about Aberdeen getting buried and also SW Thread reporting snow.....could be an epic event
-
-
Let it snow !
Here here think that sums it up from every SE member well 99%.... ...yes as above snizzle starting here
-
Its looking promising
Be great if all the region get a real last serious snow event out of this....Thames Streamers, Kent streamers, channel lows, convective snow showers, thundersnow...not to much to ask is it?....
-
Snow showers for you - channel/French snow for me? Deal!
Hehe deal as long as i get the Thames Streamer thrown in
-
Temp 3 dew 0...feels raw in a ene wind come on the snow one last hurrah from winter 12/13 ...cracking open an early white ..with cheese of course!
-
Long way off, so let's see how this unfolds in the coming days
To be honest after this cold snap ill be ready for a warm spring, lovely summer....Stormy Autumn and a huge cold winter...any charts to go with that ..How far does the cfs go out
-
Spring round the corner..nice warm up
-
In terms of the UKMO, it models the ppn some way south of the advisories issued today if early Tuesday is anything to go by.
Yes as i mentioned their forecasts, updares are much better than any public chart/ model...we cannot see the short range ppn models they see that are not for Public viewing........
-
Would def stick to UKMO forecasts, updates rather than the GFS which really cannot predict our shores at this short range...just a generic forecast from gfs in my eyes........especially as the ppn is now right on top of us or not so to speak
-
I am not so sure on amounts have you looked at NW forecast for Mon/Tues,very strong winds and medium/heavy snow...considering booking Tuesday off in case I am very late home on Monday....don't wan't to waste a days holiday but recently have been late home every day due to crashes etc so add a bit of snow and it could be worse...
GFS very suspect...would rather stick to UKMO forecasts and other radar etc.......doubt we will see much in way of moderate amounts...flurries, 2cm etc...nothing to write home about im afraid.
-
Hi CV I am travelling to docklands Monday and Tuesday front Kent coast so being a snow fan I am not sure what I want lol
ill wave to you Tuesday as doubt amounts of snow will affect our travel plans unfortunately
-
Suspect this Channel Low will not really affect us in the South according to latest UKMO etc...Shame as im supposed to be travelling to Kent Tuesday for work and didnt fancy it haha
