The Easter weekend may see some low cloud affecting eastern and central areas at times, and some showers or rain in western and southern areas, especially later. Staying warm for the time of year. The rest of the period will be mainly dry and warm, although the west may see further rain or showers at times. 10. UK Outlook for Friday 29 Apr 2011 to Friday 13 May 2011: It will be a settled start for most areas, with some sunny spells, but also a risk of showers, especially in the south. Temperatures are likely to be close to average, perhaps above average where there are any more prolonged sunny spells. 11. UK Outlook for Tuesday 19 Apr 2011 to Thursday 28 Apr 2011: The mostly settled and generally dry theme looks set to continue for many areas, with variable amounts of cloud and some sunny spells. However outbreaks of rain may spread into some southwestern parts at times, although they will make fairly limited northeastward progress. Towards Easter the settled conditions look likely to become firmly established over the UK, with the risk of rain in western parts diminishing. However, there is a chance of showers spreading into southern parts at times. Winds are likely to be fairly light for most places, although it may be breezy in western parts at times. Temperatures will be generally around or above average, with some warm days likely. However, it may be somewhat cooler in some western parts in association with any early rain or showers. Temperatures will be above average for most and winds will remain generally light. However, the chance of more unsettled conditions spreading into western parts will continue. 15. UK Outlook for Monday 18 Apr 2011 to Wednesday 27 Apr 2011: The mostly settled and generally dry theme looks set to continue for many areas, with variable amounts of cloud and some sunny spells. Winds are likely to be fairly light for most places, however it will be breezy at times in the south and west, particularly at first. Also, temperatures will be around or above average for mid to late April across much of the UK, with some warm days likely. However, there is a chance of outbreaks of rain spreading into western parts of the UK, especially southwestern parts of England and Wales. Any rain that does spread into western areas is unlikely to make much eastwards progress, with most east and particularly northeastern parts of the UK remaining dry. 16. UK Outlook for Sunday 17 Apr 2011 to Tuesday 26 Apr 2011: It should be largely dry for many on Sunday (17th) with just a few outbreaks of light rain or drizzle in the north and west of the UK. Into the start of the new week, northern and western parts are expected to have stronger winds and more frequent outbreaks of rain, perhaps wintry over hills. Further south and east, it should stay mainly dry and bright with some sunshine. Temperatures will tend to be a bit below normal next week, though to the south and east, daytime temperatures may well be warmer than average for mid-April. Towards the end of the period the north and west look set to remain unsettled. The south and east should retain drier conditions with a low risk of occasional rain spreading from the northwest. 17. UK Outlook for Wednesday 27 Apr 2011 to Wednesday 11 May 2011: The period looks as though it will continue with a general northwest-southeast split, with much of Scotland and Northern Ireland seeing rather unsettled weather, occasionally below average temperatures for mid-spring and near normal amounts of rainfall. England and Wales should still have a lot of fine and dry weather with some long spells of sunshine during the day. There will also be some showers or rain at times but, overall, many places will be drier than average for the time of year. Temperatures will be generally around normal or rather warm everywhere.
