Here are a few photo's a few hours later. They estemate the damage in the Netherlands at 15 million Euros. In southern Netherlands hailstones fell with a diam. of >5cm.

Nice thunderstorms and great shots.

The sunrises get more beautiful each day.
I used a Canon EOS 350D with a Tamron 55-200 1:4.2-5.6 and for the sun close-ups a Sigma 400mm 1:5.6 APO (total focal lenght 680mm). exposure times range from 1/4000s to 1/125s.

This morning (2:30) a thunderstorm passed over Amersfoort.
Lots of rain and nice cloud to cloud lightning.

Due to more moisture air the Sun came up flaming red .

And due to the warm temperature I even got to photograph a little (3mm) Harlequin jumping spider.

I just got lucky yesterday evening when I looked outside and saw a bright moon behind a cloudband.

After a depressing week without sunshine finaly a nice sunrise (later in the afternoon clouds took over again, and now it raining).

Due to a lot of moisture in the air the sky in Amersfoort, Netherlands, turned fire red this morning.

In the past few days a lot of hailshowers past over Amersfoort, Netherlands.
This was one of them.
Because i was near the edge of this one i didn't get a lot of hail.

This morning i was trying to find de comet Lulin (could not find it because of the bright Moon), instead the Moon gave me a splendid optical show with irisation and even Moondogs!

The fastest windgust in Amersfoort was about 118 km/h. and over 75.000 lightning strokes in 24h.
This was my second heaviest storm I experinced (my worst was thyphoon Vamei in Singapore).
