  1. A nice extra with the great conjunction between the planets Venus and Jupiter were tiny corona enveloping the planets.
  2. Disipating CB's icetops produce some of the brightest Sundogs.
  3. This photo was taken with a Sigma 400mm APO telelens and a Canon EOS 350D (taken loose in hand, No tripod used). This photo was taken trough a 15cm Newtonian telescope, and is a composite of two single photographs. Enjoy.

  6. Yesterday the day began bloodred in Amersfoort, Netherlands but, in the afternoon more signs that rainy weather was comming.... Very bright Irisation! At my work I went out to make photos 3 times. These are the best results. Enjoy
  7. The nice weather in Amersfoort, Netherlands is over again. Yesterday cumulonimbus clouds past over the country with rain, hail and some thunder. Enjoy the photos. Sat picture of the CB's
  8. Weather in the Netherlands is getting worse, but before it arrived a nice optical show and Pileus clouds. Enjoy!
  9. In the morning and evening of vriday the 10th of october the sky turned beautiful orange and red. Autumn is realy on its way in amersfoort, Netherlands, also the trees and mushrooms have a colorful display. Enjoy the show! Morning red. Evening red. Nature's colors.
  10. Last week I was in the Czech republic and saw this wonderfull color display. Enjoy! The last photo's beautiful color is in shap contrast with the location were i took the photo, it was in Terezin, also known as Terezianstadt. This was a former gestapo prison, a Jewish Ghetto and nazi concentration camp. Over 38.000 people died here.
  11. Today began with a wonderful Sunrise..... and the Moon was also very nice. All photos were taken with a Canon EOS 350D with a Sigma 400mm APO (FD canon) (1.6x) and a 1.2x teleconverter ring. For the sun i used an exposure of 1/4000sec at 100 ISO. For the Moon 1/160 sec at 100 ISO. Enjoy.
  12. All photo's were taken in Amersfoort, Netherlands. Enjoy! This photo shows the nice colors just behind the plane, a few seconds later the were gone. I only saw this 3 times and this is the second time I got it on photo (the first became EPOD Earth Science Picture of the Day). Just before Sunrise all the whispy contrails became orange and white. Sunrise! The Irisation of this afternoon turned in to a bright Coronae later.
  13. Yesterday evening a fairly active region passed over Holland bringing with it a lot of rain. Radar pic. Satellite photo. Photos from the ground. The Wales mouth. Hoped you enjoyed the photos.
  14. A Canon EOS 350D with an array of lenses. 18-52mm, 60mm, 55-200mm, 78-300mm and a 400mm APO.
  15. The photo was made through a MEGREZ 90mm APO F/6.9 focal lenght 621mm, a Thousand Oaks Optical H-alpha filter 0.9 angstrom (both from a friend of mine ) and a Canon EOS 350D. Exposure time 1/20sec at 100 ISO.
  16. This nice little anvil turned into a thunderstorm. To bad it didn't passed over Amersfoort, Netherlands. So no lightning photos this time. This is the radar image and a sat pic. Also a different kind of bird this time....... didn't knew what that little black spot was...... It turned out to be some kind of warm air balloon (You can see the little flame).
  17. A wonderful sunrise this morning. Optics just before the Sun came up. Green flash. Some pics with birds in it (just in case if someone asks "I am missing your usual bird?") This last panorama I took yesterday afternoon.
