This is from met check front page A wet Sunday in store for many areas, as a warm plume heads North from the Bay of Biscay during this evening. The scenario is already developing. An intense upper level trough is already anchored just West of Ireland. During this evening, so a surface area of low pressure develops across Biscay and the travels North, up along the edge of the trough. There is a risk of some imported thunderstorms into the far South-east during the early hours of Sunday morning, however the main threat is further West where it arrives across the South-west at around day break. During Sunday, so the rain pushes North across all areas. Some substantial accumulations are possible across parts of Wales and South-west England and a renewed risk of local flooding is possible. As Sunday ends, so things will quieten down somewhat, but the risk of a Kent Clipper with imported thunderstorms remains a risk (albeit around 30%) late on Sunday evening.
