The A47 is a nightmare in good weather IMO.
Pah, i cannnot think of any road in Norfolk that comes even close to how bad the M25 can be !
Still snowing here lightly here.
-
Light snow shower just NE of Norwich.
-
all eyes monday night to see how the snow will go and how far south it will come on monday night
More on Monday night you say? For what area?
-
Could be a dusting on our way. We finally got something worthwhile last night, i measured 3 inches (not guesswork, with a tape measure!)
-
Very interesting developments in the N Sea, N of Norfolk I hasten to add.
The GFS did suggest snow showers increasing around Norfolk, Lincs, Wash and looking at the radar I would agree. Probably arrive over the next few hrs.
Looks like Norwich will miss out again? We had a dusting earlier and its settled on the frozen roads. Even if we had an inch overnight it would cause chaos.
-
Is this second event likely to give parts of Norfolk any joy?
-
Getting frustrated now, nice bit of precip just above us on the radar, i bet it will break up and go around us!
-
Latest BBC forecast is suggesting the wash streamer will continue for much of the day. infact the GFS progs further snow until the early hrs of tomorrow morning!
Is that likely to get as far inland as snowless Norwich?
-
Heres a scene from the back garden. Here in Fakenham we got a good spell from the band that went through earlier on. :w00t:
No far, Fakenham is only 20 miles to the NW of me! I will say again that alot of people have missed out. In Swanley. NW Kent, they have only had an inch yet Maidstone has 5-6 inches??
-
It stopped here or rather it slowed right down but the next band has just arrived and it's getting heavy again
Please send it down here! My son will have a great big beaming smile if he saw some more 'glee' as he called it
-
I'm in Taverham too. I know, we have no more than what we got last night. Not that I was expecting any more, because I looked at the radar before I went to sleep. A little snow is better than none though.
After all the hype in the past few days i thought it would be more widespread but its defiantly very local. I left Guildford last night to get home before the 'bad' weather got here and the worst area i saw was around Duxford/Newmarket.
-
Virtually nothing here just 4 miles north west of Norwich. Strangeness. What has fallen is now frozen so local roads will be interesting regardless. Doesnt look like we will get any today either.
-
In in Norwich (ok 6 miles NW) and one would have you believe looking at the radar that we would be soaked. But nothing at all yet!
-
Swanley isnt high yet its still snowing here?? Only a few flakes left but not a bad amount on the ground at all.
-
Crazyness out there, about an inch has fallen here on untreated roads, gonna be worse be the morning....
-
We are getting a snow/sleet mix here in Swanlry but turning more to snow as time goes on, and lots more on its way it would seem.
-
We only got rain here overnight
-
Still got some very light snow here, it does appear to be a tad on the warm side, with some melting going on, but i have measured a peak of 7 inches of level snow, thats not bad for this day and age. Looking forward to more later in the week METO have another warning out for SE on Thursday, heavy snow and drifting.
-
Unbelievable-
heavy snow in Eltham-
heavy Rain in Barnehurst-
Anyone in Bexleyheath- What you got-?????
Warren- Keep your eye on the dewpoint- once the triple point of the low moves over it will drop from the west-
Although it may just be variable for th moment in the snow-
S
I'm a bit further south and west than you, still light snow.
-
Pleased to say its still light to moderate here, no sign of sleet yet.
-
Could anyone please respond (sixth time i have asked) will we be getting more of this type of thing on Friday and over the weekend?
-
What about later this week/end of? Are the chances of us seeing more of the same quite high? Is anyone listening?
-
Lovely gap in the radar now right over Swanley. Do people reckon we will get any more here?
-
Been out with the tape measure instead of guessing, 5 inches level snow, up to 9 inch drifts, not bad.... signs of it melting on my car though.

I've just been out there to take some washing off the line (its only been there a month) and its warmer than its been all day, sitting around freezing point and snowing near enough moderately, its given another centimetre to the van windscreen, if it keeps going we'll see another inch to add to the 3 inches last night. Impressed with that, for a December!
