  1. NO.. but can I have better than EVENs on that coin toss please hehe.. Winter hasn't even started yet so until it gets underway how would anyone know which way to flip the pear Sorry, that was was way flippant.. but something is afoot, hence my 'no' bet on an essentially 50/50 call
  2. Also a light dusting here, and it's still lying, however it seems very localised.. I have checked through the traffic.org cams and there doesn't appear to be any snow on the cams you would expect B) From Huntly to Inverurie View (Camera 903 - E Foudland)
  3. may I very respectfully nominate a "devon", a "skye" and a "PP" if they are to to be worthy successors (if indeed one is required and the barrier to entry has not just been raised) then let them all present their case that the revered SATSIGS may vote
  4. It's finally turned to rain here too now, we managed to have quite a lot of snow from the north then easterly showers coming in since monday last big blast was around 9-10 this morning - lots of local school closures here too, much of the rest of day was showery then in pm slow thaw intermingled with more sleet/hail showers - we cleared a couple of inches from untouched areas - and now that the frontal system (easterly?) has merged with the earlier shower stream, temps are up and rain. Just wondering if it will now cool down again.. or if we're set for a night time thaw (we barely struggled over freezing until this evening, currently around 1c) ..Hope you down south that got snow enjoy(ed) it - good fun eh?
  5. it was lying in Aberdeen earlier, it's just the showery nature and daytime temps - Aberdeen City are actually missing most of the showers, the showers slightly inland have been more intense and it's still lying here about 18 miles west of of the City - mananging to hang onto a couple of cms despite the midday sun If you get the showers after dark, you never know it might leave a covering
  6. Thanks Mondy, just for info, I'm not looking for it here .. just genuinely trying to follow some patterns, it's easier following this little comma than the model threads right now Hope Viking enjoys it and thanks for your time
  7. John, thanks for taking the time to do these blogs - from a lurker trying to learn! Mondy(bearing in mind the newbie status thing and this may be a really silly question) - I've been watching the sat loop and while I didn't know about the "comma" thanks for pointing it out.. I was thinking, will it want to track sw a bit before then heading east
  8. having a few heavier showers here too in last half hour
