    It has been the wettest summer on record,who got anywhere near forecasting that? 7 to 14 days is the max with what science we have at our disposal, next week looking settled further south according to the models,as we slip into autumn

    Yes,we were told above ground and below ground water levels were worrying low, then it started raining. Then we were told it would take 18 months of above average rainfall to address the balance, and it rained some more and more, and never stopped for 6 weeks,so we ended up with the wettest summer on record, Mother nature you have a marvelous trait of making the so called experts look rather silly.

    Hello bftv,when you say not globally as warm as recent decades how do we know? what i mean is nowdays every square inch of the globe is messured, but back then??

    And a couple of days ago it was set to last at least 8 days.

    Having read all of BFTV posts, full of information and figures,yo now say "this is as bad as it could be" What exactly does that mean?Should i warn family and friends and move to high ground ???

    Too true,I think the Met Office have to shoulder much of the blame for this,for it was they who predicted(around 2000)that our winters would become milder and wetter with snow becoming rare,and in 2003 after the record heat in August said to expect hotter and dryer summers, with a 2003 event happening every 3 years.

    BFTV, If i may could i ask you another question,as far as i know the big worry with GW was the rapid melting of ice "wherever that may be" over the last few years would lead to ocean levels rising? Do you know,or can show if ocean levels have risen in the last 15 years? Thanks.

    Was watching that storm from the south of you, interesting radar returns, did change direction a few times. Not suprised re funnel cloud, maybe the boss Paul Sherman could add more.

    YIKES,THE DEATH SPIRAL.. But it only goes back to 1979. From a noobs perspectiv can you show any graphs from say, a hundred years ago, or a thousand or maybe 10 thousand years ago?
