Holy Moly! Lumps of ice falling out the sky the size of marbles. Kicking off big style. Gotta feeling I'm gonna be reading about flooding in the local rag. Never seen that much water in my back garden.
All passed now and calm again
Couldn't get our prescision balances to stabalise in our factory in Oxfordshire. Phoned up the service companies site and theirs were all over the place as well in their workshop in Oxford. This was about 10.30am. Must have been one hell of a shock. I thought the technician was pully my wire when he told me about the earthquake. Balances have now settled back down again.
Carol Kirkwood was doing the weather on the Beeb at 6.45 this morn and gave us an in depth discussion on the approaching Spanish plumbe and what causes it.
I read a post earlier in another thread with a user saying this wasn't a Spanish Plumbe but Miss Kirkwood seems to think it is.
Looks good for my area in the small hours of tomorrow morning.
Ah! Here it is.

Well! Were going to have lots of showers and storms in Swindon tomorrow afternoon. How do I know. Simple.
My sister is having a post Royal wedding BBQ.
Chris Fawkes gave this a brief mention during the weather on the Andrew Marr show this morning saying it was a super typhoon with the likes of strength he has never seen before. That prompted me to jump on here straight away. He said we'll be no doubt hearing it in the news tomorrow. It looks devastating.
There are a few sferics in the line heading just south of Oxford as that passed me almost overhead but the real action is definately in the body just south of Swindon now heading to Didcot.
Well! This is a disappointment. I came on here expecting to read an in depth discussion on why Pakistan is recieving it's worst monsoon rains in it's history and not a bean. I'm not a weather techie but would love to know what's causing the extra heavy monsoons this year. Am I in the wrong section. Darren.
Just heard on the BBC that a couple of bridges have now collapsed in Workington and Keswick. I hope no body was watching the floods on them at the time. Edit, Police reckon one of thier officers is missing.
What's the situation up there at the moment Peterf. You've had more than an hours rain since your last post and looks like there's a load more to come. Looks serious.
