    Hi Dogs, yep snowing in central Chelt too. Not much but it is white stuff! Wonder if that band of snow stretching from the North East will get here?

    If this rain band is supposed to hang around to deliver so much snow. Is it likely to mean a flood risk if it does come out of the sky as rain?

    We still have water here in the centre of Cheltenham and also in Longlevens. They are only supplying 19 bowsers for the Chelt area strangely??? Looks like they may be winning the battle with the power station in Glos, so fingers crossed.

    I'm at work Dogs in Chelt!! We have plenty of water etc at home so should be fine. Hope you manage to get hold of some food. They had plenty of bread etc in Tesco's in the centre of chelt this morning. Think I need to stock up on Deodorant though if the water's off for that long!

    It is strange - my house is right next to the elmbridge court roundabout at the end of the golden valley and my wife says there's still water through the taps and the electricity is back on. Must be VERY locaalised supplies (or long pipes!)

    Wow, no water for 7 to 14 days apparently now! UPDATE: Power and Water still on in centre of cheltenham and in Longlevens.

    Hi Dogs32 - i'm back online now. Took 4.5 hours to travel along the golden valley on friday night. House almost flooded and lost my broadband (hence only back now). Hope everyone else on here from the area is ok. Water has dried up in Abbeydale/Abbeymead in Gloucester apparently. Water Tanks already seen in area. I'm ok still in Longlevens but worried about the potential loss of power!

    I work for the local council and they have issued an emergency for Gloucestershire - all councils are putting their emergency planning teams into action. The rain is apparently due to continue here til 1.00am!!!

    Not flooded yet Dogs32 - but the river chelt is now up at it's limit. The enviroment agency are clearing sticks from the drains with a hoe and rake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some basement flats look to be wet as I can here the water extractors going. Have some pics, will post them shortly.

    Just heard on Radio Gloucestershire that the majority of Roads into Cheltenham are flooded/flooding! Passable with care though!

    The rain is now the heaviest i've seen it in the 5 hours it has been raining! The sky has brightened though? EDIT: Now Dark again! :lol:

    They've just sent an email to all staff for them ot move their cars from one of our car parks as it is starting to flood!!!!
