This has happened again? Any chance someone could look into it, heavy rain over me this morning, not 1 alert.
-
Currently 31.6c here, lovely afternoon! Why does it have to end!?!?!
-
Reached 33.3c here today, will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow!
-
Mostly Cloudy, 23.7c
-
Mostly Sunny, a few clouds 22.3c
-
might be due to the proximity to the oil?
true i didnt't think about that, i fully expect a Recon flight to 96L by Wednesday, if not before, will be interesting to watch to see what happens here
-
Are recon scheduled to investigate?
nothing planned, however they do oddly have flights planned for Invest 95L?
-
I can easily see 96L developing this week, possibly at Cat 2/3 htting Texas/Mexico at the weekend?
-
in the hope that the heatwave conditions pick up again in July i'm going for 18c. Optimistic i know!

Been a lovely day today, high of 31c, still 26.4c

Alex had made landfall overnight, now crossing the Yucatan Peninsula as a Tropical Storm, but soon expected to downgrade to a depression (by next advisory at 1pm uk time).
He looks to move into the gulf of mexico late today where he will rapidy develop to a Category 2 Hurricane before making his second landfall in the North of Mexico late Thursday, the track shows that he could cross over into the the Pacific Ocean as a depression, if this happens it could develop rapidly again as a Pacific Storm, most likely to Major Hurricane status as conditions seem favourable.
Very intestesting first storm!
-
Alex only just a Tropical Storm, much strong and it'll be classed a Cat 1
-
Next advisory 4pm (9pm UK Time)
-
Latest forecast show's the storm making a second landfall late Wed/Early Tues as a Cat 1 Hurricane.
So looks like the first system is going to be Hurricane! Exciting!
-
I think if this pulls through and makes it to the Gulf of Mexico it could make Hurricane Status
-
This system appears to be falling apart into a non-event.... from Red to Yellow....
If you read up it seems to be liveing up once again, this could well be a TD/TS in a few days.

which i was a bit more northwest!!
-
what was the weather like last year, i can't remeber, i'm guessing wet going by tradition!
-
Tremors on esk and hvo charts starting to rise again. An interesting update regarding Eyja, apparently a lake has now formed in the crater. Explains the steam output but worrying if she does erupt again as it would be one very large BANG!
Not good
-
ECM is not bad really but in fact very warm after 120 hours, however as has been said, the models are changing and will continue to change.
agreed!

I dont think the thundery rain currently over the french coast is whats of interest...My eyes are turned further south..Looks like an MCS in the making developing up through the spine of central France streaming northwards...Plenty of sferics, IMO, thats what might clip the SE during the small hours
glad i'm not the only one watching that!
-
Certainately keeping an eye on this one, just incase something happens!
-
Am hoping for some storms here in Maidstone, it's been pretty much storm free apart from 1!! rumble of thunder yesterday, although i am remaining doubtful that tomorrow will produce anything here other than rain!
-
Last night was a bit disappointing, got up this morning and the ground was bone dry, looked back at the radar to find that the storms literally broke up around Maidstone and then re-joined on the other side, it's as if we had some sort of barrier around us!!

I think it's just lack of confience at this stage Steve, thundery outbreaks aren't the easiest to forecast.
