Anyone think the Meto might issued a Red warning for this tomorrow?
-
Nothing much on the radar?
-
We're well up on 2009 compared to where it was even a week ahead.
Only just lol! Took me a little while to actually see the difference between the 2.

Wow, I knew she was moving fast but that is pretty impressive looking at that map!
-

-

I've just hit the big 30 °C although I'm only getting 29.6 °C on my own weather station atm !!
That station might be slightly in the sun, what do the other local ones near it report?
-
Couldn't have a roast today! Far too hot. I caught the sun yesterday on the golf course and can really feel it on my arms whenever I've gone outdoors today. Robin Hood Airport reporting 28C, can't be far off that here. Phew!
Too right, I can smell the neighbours cooking a roast, must be crazy, BBQ Sunday me thinks!

What makes you think that the GFS is correct - other models are showing more settled scenarios at the moment and I might expect the GFS 06z to not have much ensemble support?
Luke
What makes you think the others are correct? For a while the UKMO was the odd one out with Tuesday, other models were forecasting an absolute scorcher in the SE on Tuesday, but it turned out the UKMO was right the whole time.

It's offical 26.8c. Sunday 26th June 2011 is the warmest day so far of 2011!
-
Pretty average so far, shame this heatwave isn't going to last longer other it would bump the averages up!
-
CFS is showing a nice long settled period of weather end of July into August, could be our chance?
-
Biggin Hill Airport had 25c half hour ago, seems a bit on the low side. Kenley has 27.4c atm, dont have a temp gauge myself must get one unless anyone has an old one floating about
If i had one i'd happily send it your way. You can get a basic one from Maplin for about £20 these days. Currently 26.6c now. Record so far is 26.7c on April 23 so getting close to breaking it!
-
Currently 26.6c, warmest day of the year so far is April 23rd which was 26.7c, only 0.2c left and today will be crowned the hottest, although it will only be crowed for less than 24 hours as that record will be smashed to pieces tomorrow!
-
Agreed with the above, looks like we are going straight back into the cooler unsettled pattern for the forseeable future, let's just hope that we get a prolonged settled period later in July.
-
I class a heatwave as the following
A minimum of
Day 1 - 30c+
Night 1 - 15c+
Day 2 - 30+

Some small Cu building here now, Temp is 28.3C, Dew Point 18.1C, Humidity 53%...
28.3c!?!?!?! Do you have an internet station nearby to back that up?
-
It might be worth me going for a drive to the coast tomorrow night, there seems to be a storm barrier around Maidstone over recent years, maybe tomorrow could break it?
-
Phew the heat and damn drums Beautiful clear blue skies here.
What's your current temp? I'm at 26.1c
-
UFO'S??? Oh please, someone is doing it obviously and they aren't of an ex-terrestial nature.
-
Working okay for me?
-

It doesn't appear that we are in an ice age so i'm guessing not!
