  1. It requires tweaking (quite a lot for me, been on it since 6pm ) . The 0.25° output (or even more with the Gaussian "HD" charts) will be available tomorrow on the zoomed GFS UK & other country charts ( for Meteociel at least )
  2. Just FYI : People have been waiting & asking for it : The parallel version of GFS (new improved version of the model) is now available. The forecast differences are quite huge. GFS Parallel Europe charts are on Météociel (and soon here on Netweather if I have read well ). GFS 0.25° Country charts will follow. http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfse_cartes.php?&ech=162&mode=0&runpara=1 This new version should be implemented as operationnal GFS on Dec 9th if there is no problem. So we have 40 days of parallel runs.
  3. I have found more info about this : http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/mailing_lists/archives/ldm-users/2014/msg00098.html I don't know how MeteoCentre still gets the data though. Maybe they asked for a special feed. "On June 6th UKMET stopped disseminating part of their 1.25 degree globalmodel. NCEP has not been able to get a great deal of detail on why we arestill receiving partial products (ie 06-36 FHs) even though theirannouncement listed all FHs will be removed. So it is possible to expect atsome point the remaining hours will be turned off. I also don't have anidea on what/when anything will replace this.--Carissa KlemmerNCEP Central OperationsProduction Management Branch Dataflow Team" That's not really good news ! Sylvain
  4. Thanks, I have fixed the problem. Make sure to refresh the page
  5. Nope sorry ! I fixed the UKMO T850 96/144. Make sure to refresh the pages/images. They're of course not so interesting now...
  6. Yep "BTW, discard the T850 from 96/144h there is a problem with them." I'm trying to fix them right now. Sorry about that.
  7. Well it's not really transmission problems. Sometimes the first files are published at 15:50 UTC, then we have to wait for 17:05 UTC for the other data files to arrive. I have never understood the logic But theorically all charts should be ok at 17:05 UTC. Edit : Charts are OK now. BTW, discard the T850 from 96/144h there is a problem with them.
  8. Yes sorry, T850 data came a little late. I'm rebuilding the charts. They will arrive very soon as well as +144.
  9. FYI from NOAA : "At this time, the NWS is investigating a large-scale internet issue. It is unknown at this time if it is specific to the NWS network or the internet provider, but NCEP is are confident it is upstream from the NCEP network and systems. This issue is affecting connectivity between external users and NCEP systems including NOMADS and the ftp server, ftpprd. Our engineers are working with NWS Network Operations to resolve this issue. We will inform you when we believe the problem has been resolved." That's why we have had slow / missing data since yesterday. Sylvain
  10. Sorry, ECM data is now ok on Meteociel. However it's the 2.5° fields, the 0.5° ones seem to not be available (hence the problem this morning) If it does not get fixed on ecmwf side, the ENS charts might not be available anywhere later today. I will try to contact them.
  11. Thanks, acutally we went up to 9000 earlier this evening, biggest record ever ! And It's not really slow The weather model server had to breathe a little, I stopped Apache 2 minutes GFS charts back to normal now sorry for that !
  12. Yes I don't know where they get it. I have only the 12z data till 144h, and it's directly from the Canadian weather site. They don't even mention on the site that the model goes up to 180h for the 12z.
  13. Nope, FYI the ecmwf charts timeline on Meteociel : 18:02 : 0, 24, 48 18:12 : 72 18:17 : 96 18:22 : 120 18:32 : 144 18:37 : 168 18:47 : 192 18:52 : 214 18:57 : 240
  14. Well, each forecast hour data is about 220mb. I can't get only what I need so I have to download everything. It's downloading at a speed of 150KB/s (yey for chineses internet lines!). Do the math About 30mins per file
  15. I have actually fields that go up to 0.1hPa for the chinese model in the data, I can't say exactly how they're computed but the fields exist 1:0:d=2013010500:HGT:0.1 mb:240 hour fcst: 2:200207:d=2013010500:HGT:0.2 mb:240 hour fcst: 3:515092:d=2013010500:HGT:0.5 mb:240 hour fcst: 4:824034:d=2013010500:HGT:1 mb:240 hour fcst: 5:1174098:d=2013010500:HGT:1.5 mb:240 hour fcst: 6:1522044:d=2013010500:HGT:2 mb:240 hour fcst: 7:1864691:d=2013010500:HGT:3 mb:240 hour fcst: 8:2187654:d=2013010500:HGT:4 mb:240 hour fcst: 9:2482693:d=2013010500:HGT:5 mb:240 hour fcst: 10:2859160:d=2013010500:HGT:7 mb:240 hour fcst: 11:3215694:d=2013010500:HGT:10 mb:240 hour fcst: ... (same for temp, wind etc.) (We get only GFS fields up to 1hPa )
  16. Sorry, actually this one only runs once a day for the 00z. Won't be tonight unless you plan to stay awake until 8:00 tomorrow
  17. What is exactly the problem ? Both don't show the same data ? Well first no 12z run on WZ, hard to compare tonight. Could you pinpoint on what run the problem appeared in the archives ? Thanks
  18. JMA now fixed and up to 192h, and it's very good Be sure to clear the cache or type Ctrl-F5 to see the latest charts. Sorry again for the inconveniance ! Sylvain
  19. It is data from last month, it will get fixed in max 30 when newest data arrives. Sorry about that ! You will see when the charts will show something normal ! Sylvain
  20. Yes (sorry Mucka ) click on the "Carte Europe" link; http://www.meteociel...efs.php?carte=1 Besides, I have modfied the FAX page so that it had the date in the URL (like all other model chart image links) , so people will not have anymore the "fax not updated" problem (I hope at least ). Even added a label at the top right like the other model Sylvain
  21. Yes sorry i'm working on it, so that it's easier to see what image is new and what is old. The "N" here means "New from today" so it has been updated today Sylvain
  22. Done. http://www.meteociel.fr/cartes_obs/comp_panel.php?mode=7&ech=138&size=0
  23. Indeed, they had/have even more data but they have to pay to be able to show this data if I remember well Anyway it was just to mention that I couldn't get access to these data (without paying a lot) before March 22nd. That will be useful for the next winter anyway Also all T850 data is now with a resolution of 0.5deg (instead of 2.5°)
