    I only reckon on 30-40 minutes of snow for Nottingham at best

    I think both counties have been fairly unlucky with this easterly for snow. The showers either just missed us or died out the further inland they came and never made it. Not seen a single flake today <_<

    Just watched BBC News 24 weather and there was no real mention of any snow for the Midlands up to Wednesday. So the past winters that were about to hit us with FREEZING temps has decided not to knock at the UK's door? Every time I have looked at the ensembles 850's the carrot of -8 -10 air is 5 days away and never arrives. It like watching ground hog day only without Andie MacDowell in it Although I admit it's only mid December

    BBC Weather at 10:30 seemed to have a lot of rain before any possible snow arrives and even then it looks limited. I think the low is too high (if that makes sense)for the east midlands

    Just has a really heavy shower here in Arnold. A car went up the road and it's tracks were covered in less than a minute B)

    What do you expect them to do? Invest 100 million in ways to deal with a 10, 15 or even 20 year event. Or spend that money on schools, hospitals and other services? Its just not worth the investment Having said that running out of grit is unforgivable

    I think there is around 2-3 inches in Nottingham. Although it's still coming down.
