we have sleet here and any lying snow (of which there was not much to start with) has all but gone

just to let you know that we have done very porly out of this snow spell, we had nothing measurable yesterday and allthough we have had snow today, it has only amounted to aprox .5cm and that is now thawing with sleety mixture in the air, glad to hear others are doing well and may it persist

thats 1cm more then us ! we have zilch

Just to keep you in a upbeat mood, I looked on the beeb 5 day forecast and allthough I know they do not have a good track record, they are saying heavy snow for monday with no hint of rain

I think we have to face facts, we have a wall of snow surrounding thanet and we wont be able to escape untill the great thaw sets in.

I know the feeling. anyway welldone with what you have had and good luck for anymore you might recieve. ps....it seems to be delaying the trains at canterbury and as I have to come through there on the train in the morning it be quite an experience.

Hi neilsouth at least you have had some, what is the thickness of a snowflake, that is how much depth of snow that we have had and we are only a few miles from you.

I think we will need a micrometer to measure our snowfall

Unfortunately, after having just seen ch5 weather, they seem to be of the same opinion as the beeb, in other words we wait untill tomorrow

This seems so strange that all around us in a arc from folkestone through canterbury to herne bay has varying amounts of snow and yet we have next to nothing apart from a few flakes . I would be happy with just .5cm

Hi hope it snows I am no expert by far and lurk in the background a lot, but I do feel we may get something,perhaps not as much as we would like. I have been on the meto site and they have us down for light snow from 2100hrs today to 1800hrs monday. Lets hope they are right !!

I second that,...we had a very small amount so far and even that has slowly disapeared

we are still green for tuesday though!

What have they done with our snow for tomorrow ? countryfile half hour ago said an extreme event

I am going for 0cm as we never seem to get any.

the met office have you down for 2 snow symbols through sunday night which is heavy snow showers

here in ramsgate, it is lovely and clear with sun rising, temp at the moment is -1.5c and frost still showing on roof tops and grass.

Cloudy,damp (sleety/rain), and +3c

HI everybody I have not posted on here for a while due to the inconsistency of the models etc and could not get involved the debate as I am unable to read them suffice to say , I have been lurking in the background reading and hopefully learning . anyway after all that rambling on I would just like to report that here in ramsgate it is SNOWING and has been for approx half an hour so far, quite large flakes but not really settling atm. ps just as I am finishing this, it is now stopping, oh well it was good while it lasted :blink: :blink:
